Your New Role:

The Sr Manager, Engineering reports to the Sr Director Application engineering and is accountable for team management and designing and delivering scalable, cloud-native solutions that power our advertising technology stack.      

Your Role Accountabilities:             

Technical Leadership & Strategy

 Define and drive the technical vision for advertising platforms, ensuring alignment with business objectives and scalability requirements.

 Lead architectural decisions for cloud-native solutions and guide modernization initiatives.

Team Management & Development

 Manage and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of innovation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

 Oversee resource planning, performance reviews, and career development for team members.

Delivery & Execution Oversight

 Ensure timely and high-quality delivery of engineering projects by establishing best practices, KPIs, and governance processes.

 Collaborate with program management to prioritize initiatives and manage dependencies.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

 Partner with Product, Data, and Operations teams to translate business needs into technical solutions.

 Represent engineering in stakeholder discussions and communicate progress effectively.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement

 Evaluate emerging technologies and tools to enhance platform capabilities and operational efficiency.

 Champion automation, observability, and security best practices across the engineering organization.

             

Qualifications & Experience

•Education: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

•Experience: 12+ years in software engineering, including at least 4–5 years in a leadership or managerial role overseeing engineering teams and large-scale projects.

•Technical Expertise: Strong understanding of modern software architecture, cloud-native platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure), and distributed systems. Ability to guide technical decisions rather than hands-on coding.

•Domain Knowledge: Familiarity with AdTech ecosystems, advertising workflows, and related technologies such as identity resolution, campaign execution, and monetization strategies.

•Leadership & People Management: Proven track record of managing and mentoring engineering teams, driving performance, and fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.

•Strategic Delivery: Experience in defining technical roadmaps, aligning engineering initiatives with business objectives, and managing cross-functional dependencies.

•Collaboration: Ability to partner effectively with Product, Data, and Operations teams, influencing stakeholders and communicating technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

•Innovation & Continuous Improvement: Demonstrated ability to evaluate emerging technologies, champion automation, and implement best practices for scalability, security, and observability.
