Job Description Summary:

Commercial Product Supply (CPS) is on a multi-year transformation journey to modernize its network of manufacturing sites globally. The program includes creating and delivering a platformed menu of industry 5.0 filling and packing technologies for manufacturing dry ingredients at our sites. We are hiring a Senior Manager, Dry Parts (Flex) Engineering, to lead the multi-year modernization program.

This role will provide strategic and hands‑on technical leadership across engineering, projects execution, and operational excellence initiatives for the new equipment platform. The ideal candidate is a proven engineering leader with strong technical expertise, project leadership experience, and a passion for continuous improvement.

The successful candidate will partner closely with manufacturing, QSE, and suppliers to invent and deliver a reliable, efficient manufacturing platform supporting the long‑term growth and productivity of CPS. In the near term, the role will be heavily focused on the new greenfield sites given the amount of equipment that will be installed there.

Responsibilities:

  • Create an equipment platform by defining the equipment menu of choices for small batch, multi-ingredient dry parts manufacturing. This includes creating the detailed URS (User Requirements Specification) as well as equipment specifications in partnership with CPS engineering, operations, QSE and R&D.
  • Partner with associates and suppliers to finalize the equipment specifications and ensure the suppliers design and manufacture equipment and components in line with specifications.
  • Lead robust equipment testing including trials for transformation confirmation and finished machine performance verification at equipment supplier factory prior to equipment shipment to ensure performance meets the specifications.
  • Participate in equipment startup at the sites to ensure successful site acceptance tests (SAT) execution and right first-time performance of new equipment including running at target rates and reliable OEE2.
  • Update and maintain ready to use specifications based on learnings from FMECAs and start-ups as well as based on the technology upgrades available from the supplier or industry.
  • Employ root cause analysis to troubleshoot issues and implement corrective actions. Support the development and execution of reliability and maintenance program for the equipment.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and reviewing professional publications.
  • Follow and comply with all safety and work rules and regulations.

Qualifications:

  • University / bachelor’s degree preferred or applicable work experience.
  • 3-5 years’ experience in dry ingredient handling engineering or operations. In-depth knowledge of production processes, safety, quality, costs, and other techniques to do the best value design with all the requirements designed in.
  • Ability to partner and collaborate, both internally with different CPS plants and externally with suppliers.
  • Strong attention to detail, especially when identifying potential issues, making assessments, and giving recommendations.
  • Basic knowledge of CAD and ability to read equipment drawings.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Familiarity with KORE requirements, GMP, and other regulatory standards.
  • Good English verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects well and multitask effectively.
  • Willingness to travel internationally to supplier locations and CPS Green Field sites.

What this role will offer:
