Position Summary:
This is an exciting leadership opportunity to shape and accelerate the demand generation strategy an execution across Europe for Fisher Scientific, a part of Thermo Fisher Scientific. As Senior Manager, Demand Generation, you will lead a high-performing team and oversee the strategic planning, execution, and optimization of demand generation campaigns to drive measurable business growth.
You will define and implement data-driven & AI demand generation initiatives across digital advertising, SEM, paid social, and retargeting platforms, while aligning with our digital marketing strategy. This role requires strong leadership, advanced, broad digital marketing expertise, and a proven ability to drive cross-functional collaboration with commercial, category/portfolio, marketing, data science and analytics teams.
You will play a key role in leveraging media strategies to reach and convert customers and new prospects, lead the acceleration of Supplier-funded SEM programs, deliver outstanding ROAS on our media execution and transform the team’s ways of working to maximize commercial impact.
This position is pivotal to scaling our demand engine, advancing our media targeting, personalization, and evolving automation & AI capabilities to support pipeline acceleration, traffic & conversion resulting in revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the demand generation strategy, overseeing SEM, paid social, programmatic, and 3rd party advertising across the digital ecosystem
- Drive the planning and execution of demand generation campaigns in line with our business priorities
- Leading and working in the team that own end-to-end campaign development including budgeting, audience segmentation, messaging strategy, and performance tracking
- Oversee and optimize paid media budgets to maximize ROI, pipeline contribution, and CAC efficiency
- Develop and implement test-and-learn frameworks for continuous optimization of channel mix, messaging, and (re)targeting
- Provide executive-level insights and reporting on campaign performance, trends, and strategic recommendations
- Champion innovation in media channels, AI utilization for demand generation, platforms, and Martech integrations to drive engagement, lead quality, and conversion
- Lead the acceleration of Supplier-funded SEM activities and ensure performance driven operation (planning, execution and reporting).
- Engage with Suppliers on the performance of their campaigns, ensure clear planning and forecasting to secure long term partnerships, investments and business impact
- Transform the ways of working across the demand generation team to deliver measurable business impact and continuous improvement
- Design and execute media strategies to effectively reach, attract, and engage customers, new customer acquisition and prospects
- Build, mentor and develop a high-performing team of demand generations specialists
- Collaborate closely with global digital marketing, analytics, customer & supplier marketing, Data Science and IT to evolve automation, lead management, attribution models and customer profile utilization
- Ensure full alignment with corporate digital strategy, data privacy regulations, reporting and best-in-class digital governance
Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:
- Proven leadership in digital demand generation, including SEM, display, paid social, and account-based marketing programs
- Deep experience with digital marketing platforms including Google Marketing Platform, Adobe Ad Cloud, LinkedIn Ads, Meta Ads, Criteo, and analytics platforms such as Adobe Analytics and Google Analytics
- Demonstrated ability to lead multi-functional teams and execute across matrixed, global organizations
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills, with fluency in performance metrics, attribution models, and funnel conversion optimization
- Demonstrated strong skills to engage with (external) stakeholders and deliver long term partnerships
- Outstanding communication, project management, and stakeholder alignment capabilities
Non-Negotiable Hiring Criteria:
- 10+ years of experience in senior digital marketing, with a minimum of 7 years in demand generation roles, and 3+ years in a manager role
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, business, or related field; Master’s degree preferred
- Proven experience driving measurable demand generation business impact and growth in a complex enterprise environment
- Self-starter, motivated, able to work independently, strong presentation skills, Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong leadership and motivational skills; demonstrated ability to lead without direct authority
- Strategic thinker with High energy and a creative mindset with the capacity to work well across multiple functional areas
