We are looking for a Senior Manager, Data Analytics to join our Finance Team. This individual will report into our Vice President of FP&A and Analytics and will oversee a team of Data Analysts and a Data Scientist. They will drive high-impact insights and measurement, and lead the evaluation and rollout of scalable self-serve analytics with strong governance. This role requires strong stakeholder leadership, a practical understanding of data architecture, and familiarity working in a Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environment. While our current collaboration model is centralized, this individual will help evolve our model over time as our business needs grow.

This remote position is open to individuals who live in, or are open to relocating to, the following states: Arizona, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Ohio, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Virginia, and Washington.

This position requires travel to our headquarters in Melville, NY 6 times per year for internal meetings and team building activities. Additional travel may be required based on department and company needs. We reimburse reasonable and necessary travel expenses, and you’re also welcome to work on-site anytime beyond these visits – our doors are always open.

Location: Remote 

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST

Base Salary: $145,000 – $180,000 per year

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage, coach, and develop the team by setting clear goals, supporting career growth, and maintaining high standards of quality
  • Own team execution through intake and prioritization, roadmap planning, stakeholder communication, and reliable delivery of insights and analyses
  • Establish best practices for analytics delivery (e.g.: documentation, QA, reproducibility, peer review, and governance)
  • Partner with leaders and teams across functions such as Marketing, Merchandising, Fulfillment Operations, Customer Service, and Human Resources to define the right questions, metrics, and measurement approaches
  • Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analysis, decision-ready recommendations, and success metrics to track impact post-launch  
  • Standardize governed KPI definitions and create a proactive culture of controlled measurement and accountability
  • Lead selection and implementation of a cross-functional BI tool including requirements gathering, evaluation, proof-of-concepts, and cost/value analysis
  • Define governance for the BI ecosystem (e.g.: shared metrics definitions and documentation standards)
  • Drive adoption through enablement such as training, templates, office hours, and continuous improvement based on feedback
  • Partner with Data Engineering and IT to ensure analytics needs are met through strong data modeling, reliable pipelines, and clean source-of-truth datasets
  • Bring fluency in GCP-based analytics environments (e.g.: BigQuery and related tooling) to guide scalable analytics design and best practices
  • Advocate for data quality and reliability through monitoring, lineage, documentation/cataloging, and consistent definitions across domains
  • Operate effectively in a centralized team model today while identifying opportunities to improve responsiveness and impact
  • Propose and help implement future-state approaches (e.g.: embedded analysts for key functions, hub-and-spoke, hybrid support, etc.) as the company scales

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
  • ​A minimum of 7 years of experience in Analytics/BI/Data (or equivalent)
  • a minimum of 3 years of people management experience
  • ​Proven experience delivering dashboards, reporting, and developing insights and analysis across multiple business functions
  • Strong SQL skills and ability to review analytics work for correctness and performance
  • Hands-on experience with modern BI tools (e.g.: Tableau, Power BI, Looker, Mode, ThoughtSpot, or similar)
  • Demonstrated ability to define metrics/KPIs, align stakeholders, and build scalable self-serve analytics
  • Familiarity working in a GCP environment (e.g.: BigQuery-centric analytics workflows)
  • Working knowledge of data architecture concepts (e.g.: data warehousing/lakehouse patterns, dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT, and governance)

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Master's degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business, or a related field
  • Experience selecting and rolling out a BI tool across departments
  • Experience with semantic layers/metrics layers and strong analytics governance practices
  • Proficiency with Python/R or ability to guide teams using these tools
  • Experience with forecasting, experimentation, causal inference, or advanced analytics methods
  • Familiarity with tooling commonly used alongside GCP analytics stacks (e.g.: dbt, Airflow/Dagster — depending on your stack)
