Role Overview
As a Cybersecurity Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect the organization's computer systems, networks, and data from cyber threats. This role will involve a combination of technologies, processes, and practices designed to safeguard data, applications, and networks from threats like malware, phishing, and data breaches. You will be tasked with identifying vulnerabilities, supporting the response to incidents, and ensuring that security protocols and controls are adhered to. Your role is vital in safeguarding critical assets and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
Reporting to the Identity Governance & Administration (IGA) Product Manager, this position serves as a senior technical Subject Matter Expert (SME) and developer. They will be responsible for the delivery of IGA services enterprise-wide. The role requires a technically strong individual who is resourceful and highly self-motivated. The successful candidate should have 7+ years of experience working in the IAM field in a large, global enterprise environment and possess broad experience working with numerous technologies typically used in identity governance. Additionally, the candidate will have strong communication skills that allow them to successfully work with stakeholders in diverse roles ranging from IT infrastructure to individual end-users.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited) to:
Develop, implement, and optimize identity management solutions with a strong emphasis on web-based application integration, and secure access workflows, ensuring efficient and scalable user identity and access management.
Lead efforts to evaluate and implement new technologies, particularly those involving Java-based platforms, and SQL-driven systems, to enhance the scalability and performance of identity services.
Considerable knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends integrating relevant advancements into the team's roadmap, process and deliverables.
Partner with infrastructure, security and applications teams on service issues, escalations and support transitions and enforce identity policies and standards.
Foster compliance by guiding the design and implementation of identity solutions that leverage secure coding practices, and scalable web-based architectures.
Mentor and develop team members, fostering a high-performing and collaborative work environment drive by Agile principles and practices.
Required skills & experience:
Bachelor’s degree (or international equivalent) or 7+ years of applicable experience in Identity Governance and Administration.
Strong experience managing web-based applications in a large enterprise environment using technologies like Java, Struts, jQuery, JSP & .NET.
Hands-on experience with Java and SQL, including relational database design and programming using PL/SQL and/or Oracle, MySQL.
Managing IT solution deployments through the full software development lifecycle.
Experienced in secure and scalable software development using Java / JavaScript / Python.
Good working knowledge of the Agile framework and JIRA to drive roadmap execution.
Strong understanding of regulatory frameworks and compliance standards related to identity management.
Excellent interpersonal, written and oral communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders and able to discuss technical ideas in a business-friendly language.
Preferred Experience and Skills:
Knowledge of identity governance technologies such as SailPoint IdentityNow (IDN)/Identity Security Cloud (ISC), SailPoint IdentityIQ or Oracle Identity Governance.
Prior experience with the Global enterprise environment and business applications or similar large healthcare environment
Demonstrated understanding of identity-related NIST standards (e.g. 800-63-3)
Working knowledge and understanding of ServiceNow for Change, Incident and Knowledge Management
CISSP, Security+ or similar industry certification
