Position Summary
CVS Health is seeking a strategic and experienced compliance leader to support the Pharmacy and Consumer Wellness (PCW) segment, with a primary focus on the Retail Pharmacy business line.
In this position you will be responsible for overseeing the development and execution of compliance initiatives that ensure Retail Pharmacy strategies, programs, and operations align with regulatory requirements and enterprise standards.
This role oversees a team of compliance professionals responsible for tracking, analyzing, and interpreting new laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance affecting the Retail Pharmacy and broader pharmacy business. The Senior Manager ensures the team delivers timely, accurate insights and supports the organization in implementing compliant processes that reflect evolving requirements.
In this role, you will partner closely with PCW leadership and cross‑functional business owners to enable the effective implementation of compliant business initiatives. You will build and maintain strong relationships with Retail Pharmacy leaders and broader pharmacy key stakeholders to ensure compliance obligations are understood, operationalized, and proactively addressed.
Operating with a high degree of independence and judgment, the Senior Manager collaborates with and influences decision makers across Compliance, Legal, Operations, and other enterprise partners. As a trusted advisor, you will provide strategic guidance and actionable recommendations that help business partners develop and execute compliance strategies aligned with organizational objectives and CVS Health’s commitment to ethical and compliant business practices.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee and guide the review of new mandates, laws, and regulations impacting Retail Pharmacy and the broader pharmacy business.
Coordinate with Legal and Regulatory partners to assess applicability of regulatory requirements to business segments and ensure clear, actionable interpretation.
Lead compliance efforts to implement processes and programs that ensure adherence to new laws and regulations, including controlled substances, pharmacy licensure, pharmacy working conditions, settlement agreements, and other regulatory areas.
Provide strategic compliance guidance and supporting business initiatives and compliance-related inquiries.
Establish and maintain strong working relationships with process owners and business leaders to drive business practice enhancements that strengthen compliance effectiveness.
Drive compliance initiatives to completion and validate the effectiveness of implemented solutions.
Actively participate in relevant business working groups and committees, representing Compliance and providing subject matter expertise.
Participate in risk assessments to identify regulatory risks, evaluate business controls, and establish appropriate compliance oversight.
Perform additional duties as assigned to support the success of the compliance program.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of experience in compliance, legal, or regulatory roles within the healthcare or pharmacy industry.
Strong understanding of Retail Pharmacy operations, regulatory requirements, and operational processes.
Ability to manage and support a team of compliance professionals, including guiding their efforts to track, analyze, and interpret new laws, regulations, and regulatory guidance, while actively supporting their ongoing professional development.
Demonstrated strength in project management, with the ability to lead complex initiatives and drive results in a dynamic environment.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to influence and collaborate effectively with Compliance and Retail Pharmacy Leadership, Field Management (as needed), and cross‑functional partners in a corporate setting.
Proven ability to analyze complex issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical, goal‑oriented solutions.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and proactively recognize and resolve issues.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining the highest levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
Willingness to travel as business requires (including plane)
Preferred Qualifications
Strong knowledge of state and federal pharmacy laws and regulations, with the ability to interpret and apply requirements to complex business environments.

Previous managerial or people‑leadership experience, preferably overseeing compliance, regulatory, or operational teams.

Pay Range
The typical pay range for this role is:
$82,940.00 - $182,549.00
This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
