Scope of Role

This strategic leadership position is responsible for overseeing financial management and operational control across multiple manufacturing sites within a business unit. As a key business partner to site and business unit leadership, the Senior Manager, Controller Region drives financial performance, ensures fiscal accountability, and supports strategic decision-making through comprehensive analysis and forecasting.

The role encompasses financial reporting, cost management, and variance analysis for all assigned sites, providing leadership with the insights needed to optimize efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance profitability. The Senior Manager proactively collaborates with site and business unit leaders to develop and deploy key operational metrics, identify improvement opportunities, and implement sustainable financial strategies aligned with long-term organizational goals.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Summarize and present consolidated financial results and key sales/cost drivers for all assigned sites.
  • Lead variance analysis to key benchmarks (budget, forecast, prior year, etc.) and communicate key assumptions/inputs to site and business unit leadership to ensure achievement of performance objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with site and business unit leadership to provide impactful financial analysis supporting operational and strategic goals.
  • Develop and deploy operational metrics and analysis to support daily management of the business, proactively managing costs and working capital to drive sustainable improvement across multiple locations.
  • Make assessments and recommendations based on regular review/analysis to site and business unit leadership.
  • Lead or facilitate cost-out and profit improvement initiatives across assigned sites.
  • Partner with operations to support make/buy decisions, capital investments, inventory management, ad hoc analysis, and other needs at the multi-site level.
  • Oversee inventory standard costing and margin analysis activities, including managing annual standards roll and physical inventory for all sites.
  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analysis/special projects to assist teams in understanding business performance and offer solutions to improve results.
  • Partner with central accounting to manage and maintain an effective controls environment across all assigned sites.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Professional Experience/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance; CPA designation preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years progressive experience in financial/accounting functions, including cost, in a manufacturing environment, with multi-site or business unit experience strongly preferred.
  • Previous leadership experience at the manager or senior manager level.
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, with expert-level Excel skills.
  • Ability to clearly and concisely communicate complex financial information to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to validate accuracy of reporting and draw general conclusions on data.
  • Flexibility to work in a dynamic, multi-site team environment, including requests from senior leadership.
  • Ability to influence cross-functionally and across multiple locations.

  • Proven high personal integrity.
  • Previous experience with Oracle, Oracle Hyperion Financial Management (HFM), and OneStream strongly preferred.
