JOB DESCRIPTION:
Roles & Responsibilities
Analytics, Insights & Storyboarding
- Conduct deep-dive competitive analysis, including market trends, competitor performance, pricing, share shifts, forecasting dynamics, and opportunity mapping.
- Lead end-to-end analytical initiatives for key brands, therapy areas, and portfolio-level strategy
- Partner with business units to define insight needs, analytical scope, and decision outcomes.
- Develop high-impact, executive-ready storyboards/ decks, visualizations, and insight narratives.
- Provide scenario modelling, market sizing, and forecasting to influence strategic and tactical decisions.
- Drive data triangulation using IQVIA, SMSRC, projecting tools, internal CRM/SFE data, digital data sources, and patient-level insights where applicable.
- Institutionalize insight frameworks, standard methodologies, and best practices across the team
2. Strategic Decision Support
- Serve as the insights partner to senior commercial leaders, supporting brand strategy, annual operating plans (AOP), GTM and performance governance.
- Influence long‑term business strategy by anticipating market trends and emerging therapy dynamics.
- Present insights and strategic recommendations to BU heads, commercial leadership team, and cross-functional committees.
- Collaborate with finance to align forecasts, business cases, and strategic KPIs.
3. Project & Program Leadership
- Lead multi-stakeholder projects involving analytics, digital enablement, and commercial excellence initiatives.
- Translate business needs into analytical project charters with clear timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
- Drive cross-functional collaboration with IT, Digital and external vendors for successful execution.
- Identify risks proactively and implement mitigation plans to ensure project success.
4. People Leadership & Capability Building
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing insights and analytics team.
- Set the analytical roadmap and capability-building agenda for the team and broader commercial organization.
- Oversee performance, coaching and workload prioritization.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships across sales, marketing, medical, market access, and finance teams.
People Management
- People Management role – Managing 4 team members
- Internal as well as external (vendors, consultants) stakeholder management
Job Requirements
Qualification & skills
- Graduate or Postgraduate (Engineering, Pharmacy, Statistics, Economics), master’s in business administration / CA preferred
- Strong leadership and influence skills.
- Advanced storytelling and presentation skills – ability to convert data into strategic narratives.
- Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration.
Work Experience
- 10+ years of strategic experience in Commercial Insights, Business Analytics, Pharma Market Analytics, Commercial Excellence, project management
