Why this role is important to us 

Our cloud and identity platforms are foundational to how we deliver secure, reliable, and scalable technology services across the organization. Ensuring these platforms operate with high availability, effective governance, and continuous improvement requires both deep technical understanding and strategic leadership.

As Head of Cloud Operations, you will lead a team responsible for the operational ownership of key platform services including Azure, Microsoft 365, and Identity (Entra ID and Active Directory). Your team provides advanced operational support and acts as subject matter experts for these critical technologies. 

In this role, you will combine technical insight with leadership to guide the team through complex operational challenges, improve platform reliability, and drive improvements in automation, monitoring, and operational practices. Success means building a capable, empowered team that delivers stable and well-managed cloud platforms while continuously evolving how we operate them.

What you will be responsible for 

  • Lead and develop the Cloud Operations team, creating an empowered culture of ownership, collaboration, and operational excellence

  • Ensure reliable operation and platform ownership of Azure, Microsoft 365, and Identity services (Entra ID and Active Directory) 

  • Oversee 3rd level support for complex incidents and platform issues, enabling the team to resolve challenges efficiently and sustainably 

  • Act as a leader and escalation point, guiding the team on cloud and identity topics 

  • Drive improvements in automation, monitoring, incident management, and operational processes to improve platform stability and efficiency

  • Partner with architects and engineering teams to support the ongoing evolution of the cloud and identity platforms 

What we value 

  • Experience leading technical teams responsible for cloud platforms, infrastructure services, or enterprise IT operations 

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, and identity platforms such as Entra ID and Active Directory

  • Experience operating critical production platforms and managing complex incidents or operational challenges 

  • Ability to combine technical credibility with people leadership, enabling teams to perform at their best 

  • Experience improving operational maturity through automation, monitoring, and process improvements 

  • A leadership mindset focused on team development, ownership, and continuous improvement
