Senior Manager, Client Project Management

The Senior Manager, Client Project Management of Professional Services will be responsible for managing a team of Project Managers within Thomson Reuters Professional Services. This includes overseeing implementation activities, customer escalations and employees working on Implementations. The Senior Manager must be adaptive, innovative, and willing to revisit and/or define software implementation methodologies.

About the Role

  • Perform Project Management Leadership function on projects of all sizes ranging from smaller projects servicing SMB markets to large international enterprise projects. Must be able to right size project implementation methodology across customer segments, product segments and industry including scoping, project planning, budgets, Statement of Work creation.

  • Ensure operational requirements, standards and best practices are factored into plans.

  • Accountable for customer satisfaction within remit/territory.

  • Develop plans and determine long term priorities for the team. 

  • Build, develop and lead a highly effective and motivated work force with clearly defined mission and aligned objectives

  • Successfully ramp up entry level consultants and develop and engage senior team members to encourage career growth.

  • Ensure own staff and contractors have adequate skills and knowledge to perform their duties.

  • Oversee Tax, Trade and Legal Software Solution delivery, allocate project resources, review project budgets with PMs, serve as escalation point for active implementation projects.

  • Identify and develop upsell opportunities within assigned customer projects, bringing qualified upsell opportunities to regional manager for closure.

  • Lead technology decisions and facilitate and articulate alternatives and direction to Customer’s Senior IT and Business Management.

About You

  • Must possess strong cross team/group/org collaboration skills; ability to foresee and analyze project risks, develop risk management plan and mitigate subsequent issues 

  • Must have high-powered analytical skills and the ability to understand concepts and situations that pass by many others  

  • Must understand to a high-level product implementation methodology, functional & technical components.

  • Must be able to manage a project lifecycle without additional support.

  • Must have excellent communication skills, strong project management skills, and demonstrated success in adult learning and training principles/skills

  • Must have the ability to achieve objectives by successfully interacting and collaborating with:

    • Management level team members in Engineering, Product Management, Customer Support, and Sales.

    • Management level resources at Partners

  • 10 years of project management, professional services, software development, consulting experience or related experience. With at least 2 years of experience delivering enterprise software in a SaaS or Cloud environment.

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, computers science or related.

  • The position requires up to 25% travel annually. There may be time periods where the travel requirement exceeds 50% in a given month.

  • Preferred Technical & Functional Expertise: Project Management Certifications; Functionally proficient with Thomson Reuters products; Experience implementing Enterprise software, including ERP, E-commerce, and/or bolt on solutions

  • Preferred Specialized Industry Knowledge: Deep experience as a PM or Analyst in Enterprise software products/services/applications (e.g. Oracle, Microsoft, SAP, NS, etc.) OR deep experience in Tax, Trader and/or Legal Software Consulting

    Thomson Reuters complies with local laws that require upfront disclosure of the expected pay range for a position. The base compensation range varies across locations. For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $100,100 USD - $185,900 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual’s knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs. This role may also be eligible for an Annual Bonus based on a combination of enterprise and individual performance.
