Job Description Summary:
Senior Manager, CHANNEL EXECUTION, Angola & Mid Africa
REPORTS TO: SENIOR DIRECTOR, Franchise Operations, Angola & HIMA
KEY WORKING PARAMETERS
Ensures alignment of business priorities and sales/customer accounts; Individual contributor, commercially astute who guides others/franchise/system partners in resolving complex issues in channel across Angola & HIMA, based on existing solutions and procedures; works independently with guidance only in the most complex situations.
Focus, Scope, & Impact:
This role develops our channel commercial execution growth pillars.
Responsible to drive cold space expansion across the franchise in line with the strategic priority to double the bet.
Lead the evolution of the Franchise’s Commercial processes (eg : RED, SFA, Alternate RTM) as we evolve to a consumer-centric organization.
Metrics Management: Custodian of all channel metrics. Responsible for managing commercial metrics dashboards. This role will also provide commercial analysis and reports. Build right systems and routines to collate and publish reports for the team.
Project management of various channel initiatives

Experience
University Bachelor’s degree minimum
Prior commercial/franchise operations experience is a plus.
Proven ability to work across cultures, and multiple functions
Strong, proven self-starter with superior leadership skills and capabilities
Proven ability to lead and influence teams to align resources towards a common goal, leveraging best-in-class approaches and methodologies; ability to effectively interact and influence various levels of management across the system.
Experience manipulating large datasets and generating insights using SQL, Alteryx, Google Analytics, etc.
Visualization expertise in tools like Tableau, Power BI, Looker, etc.
Experience in a cross-functional or highly matrixed organization
Experience having owned/shaped/led growth and marketing strategy for global product line.
Deep marketing expertise in market & customer insights, segmentation, product commercialization and branding
Ability to motivate and work well with diverse, global, and cross functional teams.
Work Focus
The role is required to solve complex business issues which involve multi geographies, multi bottlers and the full value chain. This role requires a deep subject matter expertise and a sound understanding of system value drivers as well as proven analytical acumen at an advanced level.
Works closely with our bottling partners to activate in-market initiatives to experiment and learn how segmentation solutions can drive incremental business growth.
Collaborates with the strategy and insights community on linking consumer segmentation with market segmentation efforts to maximize efforts.
Builds an understanding of the channel and customer business model, needs and expectations and assess our opportunity to connect with these for un-parallel value creation
Develops an investment plan against identified strategic imperatives with financial analysis, breakeven and ROI estimations.

Collaborates and drives buy-in with the bottling team on the strategic imperatives and required investment plans, with aligned milestones and KPIs, as well as investment sharing arrangements.
Leads the development and implementation of specific incidence & frequency driving programs.
Leads key channel specific shopper/customer insight development to build a strong insights and analytics base for channel planning and execution
Drives the development of business case, and the launch of region-specific new product/package launches, new off-take driving programs, as well as, ensures the successful execution of national innovation projects.
The role requires exceptional information analysis as well as situational analysis to drive well-reasoned timely decision making.
Development of alternative RTM solutions for rural areas, non-traditional channels/informal trade, wholesaler strategy, etc.
Investment analysis to optimize ROI for commercial initiatives.
Deliver higher ROI on our Cold drink investments and ensure that we are driving productivity gains.
Ensure clear alignment of promo grids and focus
All commercial areas will require ongoing innovation in processes and tools. Specifically for this role, the individual will need to be intellectually curious and willing to try and then scale new thinking around concepts like RED, and RTM approaches.
The position is expected to bring a high level of innovation, particularly in processes for execution (RTM) & CDE solutions. As the OU extends into more categories and is segmenting its approach to more detailed sub-channel level, finding suitable ways of managing this complexity will be key for this role.
Leverage Technology to modernize our presence across channels so as to build competitive advantage working with Commercial Execution Lead.
The position is responsible for defining and implementing new processes, products and commercial solutions to address complex business needs in terms on cooler models, procurement, placement, tracking and process improvement, to secure we maintain the horizontal expansion / growth, while we accelerate our vertical growth with and enhanced execution model for a much broader portfolio.
Communication Focus
This role requires significant interactions across the system, with Franchise leads, bottler counterparts and cross functionally (including the network of the C&CL function).
The complexities of communication entail:
Interaction with a diverse range of organizational levels, ranging from function heads (C&CL, Franchise) to bottlers and commercial leads.
External consultants and vendors of goods and services (cooler suppliers, etc.)
Managing the balance of consulting and providing support to Franchise, including an appropriate level of push back where needed.
Requires sensitivity to franchise issues and experienced interpersonal skills as well as presentation skills, both verbally and in writing.
