Within this crew, the Correspondent & Counterparty Management (CCM) team operates as a Centre of Excellence, responsible for the Bank’s global network of correspondent banks and payment partners. They play critical role in enabling international payment flows while ensuring strong governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

CCM are accountable for the end-to-end management of correspondent and supplier relationships, from sourcing and establishing partnerships through to ongoing performance and optimisation, ensuring the Bank achieves the best outcomes for both customers and stakeholders. Alongside this, the team delivers specialist capabilities across risk, due diligence, data analytics, and regulatory reporting, supporting the full lifecycle of cross-border payment clearing and settlement.

What sets this team apart is their unique position at the intersection of payments, data, and financial crime, offering an opportunity to work on complex, globally connected challenges that directly impact how money moves securely across the world.

Your Impact and Contribution

You’ll lead the Business Intelligence function, shaping how data and analytics are used to support international and high-value payments, manage financial crime risk, and inform strategic decision-making across the Bank.

Operating at the intersection of payments, financial crime, and advanced analytics, you’ll turn complex, often fragmented data into meaningful insight that influences operational, risk, regulatory, and executive outcomes. In this role, you may expect to:

  • Set the strategic direction for the Business Intelligence function, establishing it as a trusted centre of expertise across payments and financial crime.
  • Lead, mentor, and uplift a team of analysts, building capability, confidence, and technical depth.
  • Act as the go-to SME for complex analytical challenges, including investigative deep dives into payment activity, financial crime use-cases, trends, anomalies, and behavioural patterns.
  • Move beyond reporting by providing context, narrative, and recommendations that influence business, customer, and risk outcomes.
  • Oversee dashboards, reporting, and data assets that provide visibility across end-to-end payment journeys, operational performance, and risk metrics.
  • Navigate complex data environments, partnering with technology teams to extract, structure, and interpret semi-structured payments data.
  • Present insights and recommendations to senior leaders and executive forums with clarity and confidence.
  • Build trusted relationships across payments, risk, compliance, financial crime, operations, technology, and regulatory reporting teams.

Your Skills and Experience

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Advanced Analytics, Data Science, or Intelligence consulting within large, complex enterprise environments. In addition, we’re particularly interested in candidates who bring:

  • Proven experience leading, mentoring, or uplifting analysts, including building capability and providing technical guidance.
  • Strong hands-on analytical capability, with experience using tools such as Python, SQL, Tableau, or similar technologies to investigate complex data problems.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with large, complex, and semi-structured datasets, ideally within payments, banking, financial crime, risk, or regulatory environments.
  • Experience translating data into clear insights, narratives, and recommendations that support operational, customer, risk, and strategic outcomes.
  • Strong investigative and problem-solving skills, including the ability to identify trends, anomalies, behavioural patterns, and root causes in complex data.
  • Confidence engaging with senior stakeholders and executive forums, with the ability to communicate complex analytical findings clearly and commercially.
  • Experience developing dashboards, reporting, and data products that improve visibility, decision-making, and business performance.
  • Strong relationship-building skills, with the ability to partner effectively across business, technology, risk, compliance, and operational teams.
