Position Summary

  • Advises on Commercial Leadership Team decision-making using advanced analytics, business performance reporting, and forecasting to answer key business questions in Central & Eastern Europe (Poland, Romania, Greece, Czech Republic, Hungary)
  • Collaborates with global/ regional/ cluster Analytics teams as well as Market Research counterparts to holistically answer questions for business stakeholders and supports the development of the integrated insights plan

Key Responsibilities

  • Designs and implements analytics, performance management reporting, and forecasting for planned and ad-hoc needs
  • Builds relationships with and effectively influences all senior management stakeholders (Country Managers, Business Unit Directors, Medical Directors, Strategy & Operations Directors, and Finance Directors, etc.)
  • Synthesizes data from multiple sources to develop realistic, insightful and actionable recommendations
  • Applies global standards, models, and templates to drive high quality and consistency in analytics
  • Presents results of strategic projects (e.g., Forecasts, Resource Allocations, Key Driver Analysis, etc.) in a coherent and meaningful way
  • Provides leadership in quarterly Projection process as well as annual Market Planning & Budgeting process
  • Proactively manages the flow of planned and ad hoc requests to internal and external resources
  • Identifies relevant data sources and coordinates acquisition with appropriate functions
  • Contributes to the development and deployment of innovative analytical approaches, therapeutic area learnings, and best practices within the global Analytics structure
  • Liaises with global, other geography, and functional teams for efficient sharing and strategic adoption of learnings and capabilities
  • May lead third party contractors

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree/Certification/Licensure
    • BA/BS required
    • MBA or Masters in a quantitative major or concentration preferred
  • Experience – Responsibility and minimum number of years
    • 7+ years of pharmaceutical/related market experience, including working knowledge of various analytical capabilities
  • Competencies – knowledge, skills, abilities, other
    • Analytical: Ability to leverage large, multi-dimensional data sets to drive business decisions; strongly recommended: patient-based or patient-flow forecast modeling
    • Communication: Strong written and verbal skills; ability to frame issues and present to business stakeholders
    • Project management: Ability to either directly manage projects of significant scale or indirectly influence other stakeholders towards the successful conclusion of projects
  • Software that must be used independently and without assistance
    • Required: Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint
    • Strongly Recommended: Proficiency and familiarity with analytics/data tools such as, Power BI, Tableau, Python, R, SQL, etc.
