PwC Ireland is looking for a Business Development Lead for our Managed Services team, where your capabilities are needed to support our local business development activities, leveraging our global delivery network and 3rd party ecosystem to architect winning managed services and associated delivery chains to meet and exceed client expectations and to continue to grow our managed services business in Ireland.

Purpose-led work you’ll be part of 

As a Senior Manager Business Development lead with a strong focus on pre-sales activities, you’ll work with our local client teams to identify and assess client opportunities and with our global delivery network and 3rd party ecosystem to shape, architect, propose and win managing services work with our local Irish clients.  

 

Your role is key for continuity during the business development cycle in acting as the hub between the local account team and our network and ecosystem. The delivery of technology enabled managed services, harnessing the best of our global network and 3rd party ecosystem.  You will be the local lead responsible for pre-sales activities and architecting the solution leveraging the best technology enabled managed service assets available across our network and ecosystem.  Part of your role is also to work with client account teams helping identify other opportunities to add value to their client.  In addition, you will be joining a fast-growing local team and will have a role in further developing and building the local team. 

  

Responsibilities include:   

  • Directly identifying and pursuing Managed Services opportunities within your sector, including designing managed service solutions leveraging assets across or global network and 3rd party ecosystem 

  • Using your expertise and experience to support other sector account teams to drive their business development activities around Managed Services   

  • Working with service architects across the ecosystem to develop tailored services and proposals for local opportunities  

  • Working with the local Managed Services leadership to further develop and grow the MS business across all sectors   

  • Building the local PwC internal knowledge and understanding of Managed Services;   

  • Developing collateral and insights to support managed service propositions;   

  • Keeping up to date on latest trends in Managed Services (e.g. application of AI) and any developments within our network and ecosystem to enhance our managed service solutions and proposals  

  • Coaching and mentoring of consultant colleagues looking to extend their client portfolios into Managed Services 

  • Involvement in contracting with our clients and our delivery network and 3rd parties. 

  • Developing our team with coaching and mentorship to further enhance and build our local managed services capabilities; 

  • Working with the local Managed services leadership to further activate, develop and grow the managed services market for Irish clients;   

 

Experiences and skills  

  • Track record in identifying and winning Managed Services opportunities and then supporting engagement delivery 

  • Experience in, and understanding of, Managed Services delivery models and contractual and commercial constructs 

  • Experience in working with inter-territory delivery ecosystem in developing tailored solutions / services and proposals for clients. 

  • Experience in advisory and implementation projects and how they both have a mutually re-enforcing relationship with the building of a Managed Services business 

  • An interest in trends in the broader Managed Services market and howe PwC can capitalise on those within the given sector 

  • An experienced people leader, with a background of inspiring and developing high-performing teams  

  • A collaborative and pro-active team member with demonstrable experience of nurturing, guiding and mentoring teams involved in Managed Services   

  • Effective communication, both verbal and written 

  • Strong negotiation and contracting skills with proven experience. 

  • An experienced people leader, with a background of inspiring and developing high performance teams across multiple locations and cultures; 

  • A collaborative and pro-active team member with demonstrable experience of nurturing, guiding and mentoring teams involved in managed services.   

  • Experience driving sales and operational excellence and high-quality standards across managed services teams and processes;
