Position Overview:

This position will manage the Business Enterprise Application Management (BEAM) team. The team consists of both internal FTE and MSP resources. The team is responsible for the support of applications on behalf of the 4 Freddie Mac business units. In addition, this role is the Global Operations Center liaison to these businesses.

Our Impact:

BEAM is a critical team within the Global Operations Center. This team manages business applications on behalf of the application teams. BEAM have the greatest understanding of applications and the implications to business process within the standard infrastructure support team. Where most GOC teams interact with other infrastructure teams, the BEAM team also interacts with application teams and requires unique competencies.

Your Impact:

In this role as the senior manager of the BEAM team, you will have two primary responsibilities:

Manage the day-to-day operations of the team

  • Lead the team to define future strategies to support on prem and cloud applications

  • Manage staff schedules and resourcing levels for 7x24 support

  • Provide leadership and guidance to staff including daily, weekly, and annual feedback.

  • Manage the vendor relationship with the manage service provider

  • Ensure appropriate SOP's are in place for daily operations

Second, build and maintain the relationships with our customers (application teams)

  • Partner and collaborate with the application team

  • Identify opportunities to shift additional application support to BEAM

  • Enhance the reporting and stewardship process with the customers

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of related experience

  • 2+ years of management experience

  • Knowledge of infrastructure and applications

  • Application support experience

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Travel from the VA office to the Dallas office 2–4 times per year as required

  • Proven management skills with the ability to effectively lead teams and oversee projects

  • Demonstrated ability to expand the portfolio of projects by building trust and establishing strong relationships with clients.

This position has an annualized market-based salary range of $151,000 - $227,000 and is eligible to participate in the annual incentive program. The final salary offered will generally fall within this range and is dependent on various factors including but not limited to the responsibilities of the position, experience, skill set, internal pay equity and other relevant qualifications of the applicant.
