OVERVIEW

As the Senior Management Accountant for CAA UK covering the Music, Publishing, TV, and Speakers divisions, you will report directly into the Financial Controller. The role has a wide range of responsibilities and will require someone who is proactive, organised and can work to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of month end journals, month end P&L including supporting documentation, and balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Responsible for month end close and timely preparation of financial and management reports (P&L, Balance Sheet and Cash flow).
  • Variance analysis budgets v actuals for period and YTD.
  • Produce month end performance review packs for the five divisions of CAA UK (Music, Publishing, TV, Speakers, and Corporate).
  • Preparation of the annual budget and the 6 month reforecast.
  • Assist in the preparation of quarterly variance (flux) analysis on P&L and balance sheet movements vs prior periods.
  • Ensuring timely, accurate and completeness of transaction processing into the financial system, Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate submission of financial reporting to Group Finance (LA).
  • Business Partner with 5 division heads regarding financial performance and ad hoc queries.
  • Preparation of the quarterly VAT return.
  • Perform calculations, analyses and reports as requested by the Financial Controller or Finance Director.
  • Play a key role in the annual statutory audits by preparing documentation and supporting schedules.
  • Provide support on the Group US GAAP statutory audit.
  • Work with the Financial Controller and Finance Director to ensure that internal control processes are documented and reviewed.
  • Work with the Financial Controller to review finance processes and make recommendations for improvements where appropriate.
  • Assist the Financial Controller or Finance Director in ad hoc work and projects including current projects relating to the client trust system and the transition to a new finance system.

QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS

  • Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA) or equivalent with minimum 2 years post-qualified experience.
  • Previous experience in a management accountant role is preferred.
  • Proactive problem-solving ability with an interest in further development within the organisation.
  • Must have a high level of attention to detail and great organisational skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential as the role involves dealing with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ability to be a team player with a conscientious and motivated attitude.
  • Ability to work under multiple tight deadlines and prioritise effectively.
  • Friendly and personable manner and able to liaise with confidence in dealings with Agents.
  • Strong knowledge of Excel, including V look ups and Pivots.
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 and SAP is desirable.
  • An interest in the media and entertainment industry is desired.
