About this opportunity:
Reporting to the Planning and Scheduling Sr. Coordinator, the Senior Maintenance Planner supports the Lloydminster Conventional Heavy Oil Assets. This position collaborates with Operations staff, the Maintenance Senior Coordinator, Maintenance Technicians, and Schedulers to review, prioritize, and plan maintenance activities within a designated area.
The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and modifying SAP PM maintenance work order packages to ensure they are properly prepared for scheduling and execution. The Senior Maintenance Planner also prioritizes incoming maintenance requests and manages the work order backlog to support efficient maintenance operations and minimize downtime.

Work Environment:
This position is located in Lloydminster and requires the successful candidate to live in the area.
This is an field-based, employee position that will require travel across the Lloydminster district.
What you’ll do:
Collaborate with Maintenance Technicians, Maintenance Senior Coordinators, and Operations to develop job plans and planned work packages for all trade disciplines.
Create and maintain SAP PM work orders, task lists, and detailed work packages including resources, materials, labor hours, cost estimates, and activity steps.
Partner with Operations on turnaround planning and support development of routine maintenance plans and turnaround activities.
Participate in daily and weekly maintenance work management meetings to review ongoing activities, prioritize work, and plan maintenance requirements for the upcoming two weeks.
Support monthly cost reviews and annual budget development with Maintenance Foremen, Senior Trades, Thermal Planners, and Operations while monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Develop bills of materials (BOMs), initiate stocking requests, and maintain accurate equipment master data to support effective maintenance planning.
Who you are:
Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:
Legally authorized to work in Canada
Post-secondary diploma in Technology, Power Engineering, or Journeyman Trade in a mechanical discipline; equivalent combinations of education and experience may be considered.
Minimum 5+ years of experience in maintenance planning, philosophies, standards, strategies, and practices within the energy or oil and gas industry.
Strong working knowledge of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) such as SAP PM or Maximo, including work order management and planning processes.
Solid understanding of operational integrity, reliability programs, and safe work practices in oil and gas production environments.
Working knowledge of industry codes, standards, regulations, and equipment systems including pressure equipment, rotating equipment, electrical, instrumentation, and control systems.
Familiarity with EWR and MOC processes, thermal oil operating principles, procurement and materials management practices, and plant/production operations.

As this position has been identified as safety sensitive, employment of a final candidate selected for this position will be conditional upon successful completion of required pre-employment medical and alcohol/drug assessments.
For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
