Location: Lexington Plant

Salary: $120,000 – $150,000

The anticipated salary range for this position is $120K–$150K, with final compensation based on experience, skills, education, and location.

Functional Leader for the maintenance of production equipment, utilities, facilities and Stores providing expertise, discipline and creativity in the following areas: Safety, Customer Service, Asset Management, Cost, Quality, Housekeeping, Human Resources, and Internal Controls.

Job Duties:

  • Provide leadership to the Technical Services (Maintenance) Department in the areas of safety and housekeeping.

  • Manage the Technical Services Department activities to ensure efficient plant and asset operations, safe and efficient management of contractors and the effective use of maintenance PM downs.

  • Lead all plant utilities and facilities maintenance efforts.

  • Control and report maintenance costs and manage spending within budget.

  • Continuously improve machine uptime and reliability by implementing and utilizing predictive/preventive tools and programs.

  • Lead the Stores function to ensure that requested materials and services are provided within time, quality and cost requirements by managing inventories, turns and other key indicators. 

  • Ensure the communication, implementation and promotion of the O&M corporate mission and values and LEAN management systems and principles as a means for delivering manufacturing results.

  • Contribute to an environment in which all team members are respected regardless of their individual differences and are motivated to improve both their individual and team contributions to achieve desired business results.

  • Ensure that the Lexington Plant Technical Services Team develops technical skills in Production Associates to improve equipment reliability and machine efficiencies.

  • Serve as a key member of the site Leadership Team and assist in providing long-term vision and direction to assure continued plant success.

  • Network with peers outside of the Plant to support new ideas and sector initiatives.

  • Support the plant’s Quality Management System (QMS) policy and compliance by contributing to the development, implementation and continual improvement of the effectiveness of the Quality Management System. The QMS requirements include O&M/Halyard Corporate QMS, MDSAP, and all other appropriate regulatory requirements and standards applicable to the Lexington site.

Requirements:

  • A bachelor’s degree with an emphasis in engineering or a minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in the field.

  • The incumbent must have demonstrated leadership capabilities in a team environment. 

  • The incumbent must also have broad technical knowledge and significant experience in operations, maintenance and/or engineering, and a working knowledge of multifunctional issues.

  • Occasional lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 40 pounds. May at times need to be able to lift 20-25 pounds above shoulder level.

  • Work in environments where temperatures approach 100 degF to 115 degF. Work outside in winter temperatures as necessary.

  • Must be able to wear all required PPE’s including eye protection, foot protection (steel toe shoes), hearing protection and respiratory protection. 

  • Work in tight and/or confined areas in awkward positions.
