Are you a Data, ML or Software Engineer with a knack for building robust, scalable, and efficient AdTech systems? Do you love getting your hands dirty with large-scale data and ML pipelines, and ensuring cutting-edge models run flawlessly in production? Do you want to join an existing, high-output team of academic and professional experts to build the world's first Large Marketing Model? If so, we'd love to meet you!
Our team is embarking on a highly strategic project, Open Intelligence, at the intersection of data science, advertising technology, and audience insights. While our data scientists focus on ground breaking AI research, we need your engineering and system design skills to bring these models to life. You'll play a key role in building and maintaining the data connectors that feed data to Open Intelligence. This role requires good communication skills and an understanding of brand, adtech, and marketing data, as well as the benefits of well-engineered data and ML infrastructure.
This is a unique opportunity for you to work alongside and learn from a talented group of engineers and data scientists, as we build the data and ML infrastructure that supports various pre-trained embeddings, multi-modal models, and large-scale networks.
The role is in our lovely Copenhagen offices at Nørrebro, where you will join a larger team of roughly 50 people working on Open Intelligence.
What You'll Do
- Design, implement and maintain scalable, production-grade data and ML infrastructure, supporting our AI models in GCP.
- Contribute to designing and building strong data governance and quality frameworks to ensure data inputs are reliable, accurate, and consistent.
- Collaborate closely with our team of 14+ data scientists and engineering peers to translate research prototypes into robust, production-ready systems, applying strict software engineering best practices (CI/CD, version control, testing, etc.).
- Identify and address technical debt and inefficiencies within our data and ML platforms to improve system stability.
- Actively participate in a culture of operational excellence, automation, and continuous improvement within the team, learning from and contributing to the collective knowledge.
Who You Are
- You have a strong academic background (BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field), with at least 4 years of experience in data, ML engineering or large-scale software engineering.
- You have strong practical experience with Python and SQL. Experience with other strongly typed programming languages (C++, Java, etc.) is a plus.
- You have experiences of cloud platforms (GCP, AWS, Azure), and deployment abstractions (Docker, Terraform).
- You have experiences of data engineering and distributed processing (Spark, Flink), orchestration tools (Airflow, Dagster) and data warehousing.
- Familiarity with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and MLOps frameworks (MLflow, Kubeflow) is a plus.
- You have experiences in CI/CD, version control, and testing best practices.
- You have familiarity with AdTech data and terminology, or a strong willingness to learn the domain.
- You are passionate about designing robust, efficient, and automated architectures that enable cutting-edge AI research to deliver real-world impact.
- You are a strong team player who values open communication, actively listens to feedback, and thrives in an environment of continuous learning and mutual support.
