1. Logistics & Trade Compliance Expertise:
Operational proficiency in the ATLAS/AES export system, including independent error resolution and direct interaction with the Customs Authorities.
Understanding of Customs Economic Procedures about duty and VAT liability.
Mandatory digital archiving of the Ausgangsvermerk (Confirmation of Exit)
2. Freight Forwarding Regulations:
Management of Dual-Use Items classification and expert management of all German export licenses granted by BAFA.
Oversee Sanctions and Restricted Party Screening against EU/German lists.
Guaranteed adherence to IATA Dangerous Goods Regulations (DGR) and the IMDG Code.
Essential specialization in high-risk Lithium Ion (UN 3480) and Class 9 batteries and their specific Packing Instructions.
Experience: Minimum five (5) years of hands-on, practical experience in trade compliance and international logistics, specifically focused on the EU regulatory environment.
Certifications: IATA DGR and IMDG Code Certifications (Shipper/Forwarder Level) will be an asset
Language: English proficiency (C1/B2 minimum)
Background: Proven experience in a heavy weight freight forwarding environment or heavy manufacturing dealing with project logistics.
