Job Description
The Senior Logistics Specialist is responsible for overseeing and optimizing import and export operation of the site and takes care of export customer service. This role ensures timely and cost-effective receive and delivery of goods while maintaining compliance with internal policies and external regulations. The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical skills, leadership capabilities, and a deep understanding of logistics processes.
Functions, Duties, Tasks:
Collects update rolling forecast from oversea customer via SAP system as forecast cycle frequency.
Analyzes the forecast trend and clarify the change with oversea customer to define action properly.
Overseas export orders and coordinates with production planning for scheduling to ensure the delivery timeline.
Manages end to end logistics activities by working closely with local broker and Freight agencies for booking and customer clearance to ensure the export/import activities are carried out smoothly and in a timely manner.
Prepares data for applying export documents from Gov authorities’ such as Health Certificate, Certificate of Origin and other docs.
Oversee import/export documentation and ensure compliance with customs regulations.
Handles issues regarding import and export activities or customer clearance
Controls the Landing Cost at the standard rate, no DEM/DET fee occurred for sea shipments
Manage relationships with carriers, freight forwarders, and third-party logistics providers.
Optimize transportation routes and modes to reduce costs and improve delivery performance.
Analyze logistics data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.
Collaborate with global logistics, production, quality and other teams to align logistics with business needs.
Supports coming projects, including system implementations, new warehouses and process improvements.
Monitor KPIs and prepare regular reports for management review.
Minimum Qualifications (education, experience and/or training, required certifications):
Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or related field.
Minimum 05 years of experience in logistics or supply chain roles, preferably in a manufacturing site.
Strong knowledge of transportation management, warehouse operations, and inventory control.
Proficiency in logistics software is preferred (e.g., SAP, WMS).
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Strong communication and negotiation abilities.
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
English communication skills are fluent.
Additional Preferences:
Certification in logistics or supply chain is preferred.
Experience in Food/feed additive or pharmaceutical industry is preferred
Experience with international logistics and customs procedures.
Familiarity with sustainability practices in logistics.
Experience with controlled substances or pharmaceutical products.
Knowledge of sustainability practices in pharma logistics.
