About the Role 

We’re looking for a detail-oriented Senior Licensing Specialist who will own licensure applications for new physicians joining our practice. Reporting to the Senior Manager of Medical Practice Operations,  you will work closely with our Credentialing and Licensing Team to maintain sensitive information from our physicians, collect and submit required documents for state license applications, and have regular check-ins with State Boards to ensure compliance and an effortless experience for new physicians.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage licensing processes end-to-end
    • Accurate and timely initiation, tracking, and communication of all licensing activities and expenses
  • Ensure all new Imagen specialists have necessary licensure applications completed and in place by their planned start date
  • Ensure current Imagen specialists:
    • Have up-to-date licenses and other compliance needs met across assigned customers and associated states 
    • Receive additional licensing and meet other compliance needs across additional customers in a timely fashion to meet the needs of the business  
  • Effectively communicate with physicians and Imagen teams regarding licensing processes
  • Manage communication with third-party licensing vendor to ensure timely licensing for all specialists
  • Support specialists with state board licensure applications and completion of any follow-up documents needed
  • Partner with Imagen teams and stakeholders to provide visibility and support across key Clinical Operations priorities:
    • Smooth and positive onboarding experience for new physician hires
    • Clear and consistent communication with existing Imagen physicians

Required Qualifications: 

  • 5+ years experience with Physician license applications; multi-state experience required (IMLC and State Boards)
  • Previous contacts and relationships with state boards and the IMLC
    • Specifically experience with New York State Board and license applications
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills; clearly and professionally able to articulate next steps to providers and stakeholders
  • Close attention to detail with strong organizational, time management and multi-tasking skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience working specifically with Radiologists in a licensing capacity and in the healthcare space
  • Understanding of credentialing and payor enrollments

The hourly rate for the position is between $31.25 - $36.06, plus benefits. Please note that the range is a guideline, and individual total compensation will vary based on factors such as qualifications, skill level, competencies, and work location.
