Step into a pivotal role as Repository Librarian and play a key part in managing the day-to-day operations of the University’s institutional repository, ensuring UQ’s research outputs are accurately captured, managed, and accessible. You’ll work collaboratively within the UQ eSpace team and engage with a range of stakeholders across the University.
Champion research excellence by providing expert guidance on open access, scholarly publishing, and research impact, while contributing to services that empower and strengthen the UQ research community.
Key Responsibilities will include:
Supporting the management of institutional repositories or research output systems, ensuring accurate record creation, workflow monitoring, and high data quality.
Providing specialist advice on open access, scholarly publishing, researcher identifiers, and research impact reporting.
Coordinating activities, mentoring staff, and collaborating effectively with academic and professional stakeholders.

Relevant qualifications eligible for associate membership of the Australian Library and Information Association (ALIA), or an equivalent combination of experience and training that demonstrates the ability to successfully perform the responsibilities of the role.
Strong understanding of the Australian higher education research environment, including scholarly publishing, open research practices, and the evolving role of university libraries in supporting research impact and visibility.
Demonstrated ability to deliver high-quality research and information support to a diverse range of stakeholders, including postgraduate and HDR students, academic staff, and researchers.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships, collaborate across teams, and engage effectively with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders.
Highly developed analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage complex information, maintain accuracy and attention to detail, and coordinate multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
