As an integral part of Moderna’s global Legal team, the Assistant to Legal Counsel will be based in Warsaw at our Enterprise Solutions Hub. This is a dynamic and intellectually engaging individual contributor role, offering legal and operational support with a global remit. You will partner closely with senior lawyers and business stakeholders across Moderna’s Technical Operations (CMC) and International Commercial functions. You’ll be empowered to act as a critical enabler of day-to-day execution, supporting contracting, material reviews, negotiations, and digital transformation initiatives within legal workflows. This role presents an exceptional opportunity to collaborate across functions and embrace generative AI tools to reimagine legal operations in a fast-paced biotech environment.

Here’s What You’ll Do

Your key responsibilities will be:

  • Supporting senior lawyers and global cross-functional partners on diverse Technical Operations (CMC) and Commercial legal matters

  • Serving as a legal escalation point for Procurement Operations on a broad range of contracts and facilitating third-party negotiations

  • Reviewing promotional and non-promotional materials to ensure regulatory and legal alignment

  • Collaborating with Legal Operations to improve contracting systems, templates, playbooks, and the use of GPTs

  • Contributing to and enhancing legal training materials, and documenting evolving legal workflows

Your responsibilities will also include:

  • Building a strong foundational understanding of Moderna’s mRNA platform to better support functional objectives

  • Engaging in broader Legal Operations initiatives, including ESG and compliance projects as needed

  • Embracing opportunities to branch into evolving areas of legal innovation, especially AI-enabled solutions and process optimization

  • Supporting cross-functional integration and alignment across Moderna’s global legal function

  • Demonstrating curiosity and initiative by identifying areas where legal systems or processes can be digitized and enhanced

Here’s What You’ll Bring to the Table

  • University law degree required.

  • Minimum 6 years of relevant experience.

  • Experience drafting and negotiating complex contracts in biotech/pharma.

  • Strong judgment, integrity, and ability to work independently.

  • Excellent communication, organization, and time-management skills.

  • Proficiency in English (verbal and/or written) required due to global collaboration needs.; additional languages a plus.
