Senior Legal Counsel (x/f/m)

What you’ll do

As a Senior Legal Counsel, you will lead for the Legal team, Doctolib’s expansion into the Netherlands by playing a key role in securing its operations there.

Your main missions include but are not limited to the following:

  • Design a robust legal framework to support local activities and ensure sustainable growth in the Netherlands
  • Ensure that Doctolib products align with Dutch regulations during the whole product lifecycle (development, launch and post-launch enhancement phases), especially on privacy and healthcare;
  • Lead and supervise  strategic contract negotiations with partners and clients 
  • Guide the local teams through digital, data protection and healthcare regulations and advise on complex legal matters with a pragmatic and flexible approach
  • Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on our local and/or global operations
  • As part of the Corporate Affairs & Expansion legal team, collaborate on the broader international expansion strategy into other markets
  • Partner closely with global teams in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial, international environment focused on healthcare transformation
  • Engage with Dutch regulatory authorities  and collaborate with local law firms

You could be our next team mate if you: 

  • Final diploma in law in the Netherlands (mandatory)
  • 8+ years of post graduation experience, ideally combining both in-house (SaaS company) and law firm backgrounds, with proven expertise in local healthcare regulation, European data protection and digital law
  • Native Dutch speaker with fluent English (German or French is a plus)
  • Highly autonomous and action-oriented – you thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments, prioritize effectively, and drive clarity where there is none
  • Strong analytical yet entrepreneurial mindset – you balance legal rigor with commercial pragmatism, enjoy working at the intersection of law and technology, and have contributed to launching software products in regulated environments

Now, it would be fantastic if you:

  • Know the healthcare sector and understand its regulatory challenges
  • Hold a law degree from another EU country or  in English law.
  • Have material past work experience (law firm or in-house) in another EU country or the UK.
  • Excel at working in cross-functional, international teams using agile project management approaches
  • Are passionate about new technologies and innovation and can quickly learn new concepts
