Senior Legal Claims Assistant

Salary: Up to £70,000.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Senior Legal Claims Assistant to join their team of staff in the Legal Team.
This is a full-time role for 37.5 hours a week.
Duties of this role include:
- Open, maintain and manage electronic claim files in accordance with internal processes and legal requirements.
- Log new claims, potential claims and Subject Access Requests (SARs) accurately on internal systems.
- Notify insurers of new claims and ensure timely updates throughout the lifecycle of each case.
- Request, collate and organise medical records from internal and external sources.
- Assist in the preparation of chronologies from medical records to support case investigations.
- Act as a first point of contact for routine claims-related correspondence and queries.
- Process legal invoices and payments, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal procedures.
- Support the legal team in maintaining compliance with internal governance frameworks and external regulatory requirements.
- Provide administrative support to the General Counsel, including diary management, meeting coordination and travel arrangements.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Experience working in a legal, claims, insurance or healthcare environment.
- Strong administrative and organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Experience managing or supporting case files and document management processes.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
