About the Role
As the Senior Learning Designer Indigenous Cultural Capability, you will lead the design and delivery of the next phase of our enterprise First Nations Cultural Capability Framework.
This 12-month fixed term role is focused on moving from awareness to action. You will establish program governance, partner with Business Units to identify capability gaps and deliver practical, role aligned learning solutions that strengthen cultural safety, leadership accountability, and decision-making capability.
You will work closely with First Nations governance groups, Business Unit leaders, People & Culture and external design partners to ensure learning solutions are contemporary, scalable, culturally safe and aligned to legislative requirements including the Banking Code of Practice.
Your work will directly influence retention, cultural safety, and system reform across the organisation.
What You’ll Do
Lead end to end program governance and delivery of the Frist Nations Cultural Capability Framework uplift.
Partner with Business Units to identify gaps in current training and translate policy and legislative requirements into practical capability solutions.
Design and implement Business Unit specific cultural awareness modules aligned to operational context and real workplace scenarios.
Design practical, scenario based learning that helps people apply cultural capability in their day to day roles.Partner with internal and external providers to develop clear, accessible learning solutions.
Pilot modules in priority areas and refine based on feedback and results.
Embed cultural safety indicators, leadership accountability and system considerations into the framework.
Measure program effectiveness and report progress, risk and impact to governance forums and executive stakeholders.
Ensure alignment to compliance, policy and non financial risk obligations.
What We’re Looking For
Lived experience as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person.
Experience leading enterprise programs or significant initiatives.
Experience designing and delivering cultural capability or organisational development work.
Strong understanding of cultural safety and First Nations workforce considerations.
Ability to influence stakeholders and work across a complex organisation.
Experience turning strategy and policy into practical outcomes.
Sound governance, risk and compliance awareness.
Clear communication and facilitation skills.
Ability to measure impact and manage competing priorities.
Preferred Qualifications & Experience
Qualification in Human Resources, Organisational Development, Education, Community Development or related discipline, or equivalent experience.
Experience working with digital learning providers or UX design partners.
Experience within financial services or other regulated environments.
Completion of cultural capability training and demonstrated application in organisational settings.
