Make your impact within a rapidly growing Fintech Company

The Product Management – Growth team at BILL builds the experiences and platforms that power how our customers adopt, expand, and realize value from our solutions. As the Senior Lead Product Manager, Billing, you will own the vision, strategy, and execution for BILL’s billing platform and capabilities, ensuring they are robust, flexible, and tightly aligned to our growth and monetization objectives. This is a high-impact expert individual contributor role where you’ll partner closely with Engineering, Finance, GTM, and Operations to shape how BILL prices, packages, and bills customers at scale. You’ll translate complex business needs into simple, reliable billing experiences that unlock revenue growth and make it easier for customers to do business with BILL.

Responsibilities:

  • Own and articulate the product vision, strategy, and roadmap for BILL’s billing platform and core billing capabilities, aligned to company growth and monetization priorities.
  • Lead end-to-end delivery of billing features and platform enhancements using both bespoke and third-party capabilities—from problem discovery and requirements definition through launch, migration, and ongoing optimization.
  • Partner with Engineering and Architecture to design scalable, resilient billing systems and data models that support diverse pricing, packaging, discounts, and invoicing scenarios.
  • Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, RevOps, and GTM to ensure billing changes are operationally sound, compliant, and accurately reflected across downstream systems and processes.
  • Use data and customer insights to define success metrics, diagnose issues (e.g., revenue leakage, billing disputes), and prioritize improvements that drive revenue, reliability, and customer trust.
  • Champion a growth mindset by running structured experiments (e.g., billing experiences, plan constructs, self-serve changes) and translating learnings into scalable product decisions.
  • Mentor other product managers and cross-functional partners on best practices in platform thinking, experimentation, and billing domain expertise, raising the bar for the broader team.

We’d love to chat if you have:

  • Demonstrated experience owning a complex platform area (ideally billing, payments, pricing, or monetization) as a senior/expert IC product manager.
  • Strong technical acumen, with the ability to work closely with engineers on systems design, data models, APIs, and integrations across internal and third-party platforms.
  • Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders across Finance, Accounting, GTM, and Operations, balancing customer experience, risk, and business outcomes.
  • A data-driven approach to decision-making, including definingKPIs, analyzing product performance, running experiments, and translating insights into clear product bets.
  • Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, with a track record of aligning cross-functional teams around a roadmap and driving execution in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment.
