About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Data Product Management Consultant on the Consumer Data Products team. The team is responsible for defining and executing the Consumer data product strategy, delivering data products supporting analytics and regulatory needs across Consumer lines of business while driving Cloud migration and modernization.
This role will report to the head of Consumer Data Products, with accountability to drive the Consumer Banking and Lending (CBL) data footprint optimization initiative and own the end-to-end strategy, execution and governance for identifying, prioritizing, and delivering optimization opportunities.

This leader will drive cost optimization, improve financial visibility and establish a culture of financial accountability across our data ecosystem. This is a highly collaborative role that requires a blend of technical expertise, financial acumen, and strong communication skills.
FinOps Strategy & Implementation:
Stakeholder Engagement & Leadership:
Partner with Technology, Finance, and Product teams to drive cost accountability, embed FinOps principles into processes
Act as subject matter expert for FinOps and cloud financial management
Educate and influence teams on cloud cost awareness and optimization strategies
Data Analytics & Reporting:
Own executive reporting and communications on data optimization strategy to reduce data platform and analytics costs
Improve visibility into cloud spend and support chargeback/showback models to ensure clear cost allocation and business unit ownership
Align cloud spending with product priorities, while helping stakeholders make data-informed decisions
Required Qualifications:
7+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
5+ years of experience in FinOps, Cloud Financial Management, or a related role with a strong focus on data analysis

Execution Mindset: Not just identifying opportunities, but successfully executing them in collaboration with cross-functional teams
Stakeholder Savvy: Comfortable working with developers, finance analysts, and C-level leaders alike—able to tailor the message to the audience
Business Acumen: Experience with cloud cost forecasting, chargeback/showback models, and cloud unit economics. Good understanding of how cloud economics tie to margins, product pricing, and long-term strategy
Exceptional leadership with ability to influence including negotiating, persuading others, facilitating meetings, and resolving conflict
Skilled in presenting information and/or ideas to an audience in a way that is engaging and easy to understand
7+ years of experience with leading cloud business transformations
7+ years of experience helping an organization to plan and manage change in effort to meet strategic objectives
3+ years of management experience
Bachelor’s degree, MBA preferred
Job Expectations:
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
Salary is just one component of Wells Fargo's total rewards package. Depending on the role, a Wells Fargo's employee may be eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as sales incentives, discretionary bonuses, and/or equity in the company in the form of Restricted Stock Units (RSUs).
