Job Description

Key Responsibilities

Data Architecture & Leadership

  • Lead enterprise data architecture design supporting AI/ML workloads at scale. Define technical standards and best practices for data engineering. Mentor data engineering teams and drive adoption of emerging technologies in data and AI.

Data Pipeline & Quality Management

  • Architect complex, high-volume data pipelines transforming raw data into AI-ready datasets. Establish comprehensive data quality frameworks, monitoring systems, and automated validation processes ensuring enterprise-grade reliability.

AI/ML Data Strategy

  • Partner with data scientists, ML engineers, and stakeholders to define data requirements for AI initiatives. Design feature engineering frameworks and transformation architectures optimizing data for machine learning at scale. Establish MLOps practices for data versioning, lineage tracking, and reproducibility.

Agentic AI Framework Development

  • Design data infrastructure supporting agentic AI systems using Strands and AWS Bedrock Agents. Architect data flows enabling AI agents to access and act upon enterprise data. Build robust APIs supporting agent-based workflows, tool calling, and multi-step reasoning.

Snowflake Cortex & AI Integration

  • Architect enterprise solutions leveraging Snowflake Cortex AI for intelligent applications. Implement Cortex LLM functions for text analysis, sentiment analysis, and document intelligence. Optimize data structures handling both structured and unstructured data for AI applications.

Semantic Modeling & Search

  • Design comprehensive semantic models providing business context across enterprise data assets. Architect Snowflake search service solutions for efficient data discovery. Develop metadata frameworks, data catalogs, and knowledge graphs. Implement vector search and embedding strategies.

Platform Optimization

  • Lead Snowflake platform optimization including data models, schemas, and storage strategies. Implement data governance frameworks covering cataloging, lineage, access controls, and compliance. Develop Python-based automation tools for ingestion, transformation, and orchestration.

Required Qualifications

Technical Expertise

  • 10+ years in data engineering, data architecture, or related roles

  • Expert Python proficiency including pandas, numpy, pydantic, FastAPI, asyncio

  • Deep Snowflake expertise: SQL optimization, data modeling, performance tuning, platform architecture

  • Extensive experience with Snowflake Cortex AI functions for LLMs, ML models, and AI workloads

  • Strong experience with agentic AI frameworks including Strands and AWS Bedrock Agents

  • Proven ability architecting structured and unstructured data solutions in Snowflake (VARIANT types, document AI, vector operations)

  • Experience building semantic models, ontologies, and enterprise search services

  • Deep understanding of data warehousing, dimensional modeling, ETL/ELT, modern architecture patterns

  • Expert knowledge of version control, CI/CD, DevOps for data pipelines

  • Extensive experience with data quality frameworks and observability tools

AI/ML & Analytics

  • Deep understanding of ML workflows, model training, and production ML systems

  • Expert feature engineering knowledge and automation

  • Strong understanding of agentic AI architectures, tool calling, multi-agent systems

  • Deep knowledge of vector embeddings, semantic search, RAG architectures

  • MLOps practices including model versioning, monitoring, deployment

  • Experience designing architectures supporting autonomous agent workflows

Leadership

  • Proven track record leading enterprise-scale data engineering initiatives

  • Strong mentoring and technical talent development experience

  • Excellent communication translating technical concepts for business stakeholders

  • Cross-functional team collaboration with data scientists, analysts, engineers, leaders

  • Strategic thinking balancing technical excellence with business value

Preferred Qualifications

  • Snowflake Cortex Search and vector search experience

  • NLP, text analytics, document intelligence expertise

  • RAG systems and knowledge management platform architecture

  • AWS Bedrock hands-on experience

  • Additional agentic frameworks (Strands, LangChain, LangGraph)

  • Data visualization and BI platforms

  • Containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and infrastructure as code


In-Office Collaboration
We are a client-centric, relationship-based business. Working together, in-person, is foundational to how we achieve results. By fostering a culture of face-to-face collaboration, idea sharing, productivity and personal connection, we deliver for our stakeholders — clients, advisors, employees and shareholders. Our employees work in the office at least three (3) days per week, with flexibility to work from home two (2) days per week. Some roles may require additional in-office time or different in-office expectations, and specific requirements will be discussed during the hiring process.
