This role will report to the Snr Manager - Infrastructure Operations in Integrated Network Environment Services and play a critical role within the National Test Facility. 

 

A bit about your role 

The Senior Lab Technician manages daily operations at the National Test Facility Lab, including hardware installation and decommissioning, cabling, inventory updates, and logistics to ensure a safe, organized, and fit-for-purpose environment for all nbn test activities. This role also provides technical support, monitors power and cooling infrastructure, oversees HSE compliance, and drives efficiency through asset management and process simplification. 

 

A bit about you: 

You will bring expertise in Telecommunications and Data Centre Operations & Maintenance, specialising in installation, commissioning, integration, and maintenance of multi-vendor network and IT equipment. Your skill set will include AC/DC power installation (High-Risk Works certified), structured cabling with fibre optics and CAT6/7, physical layer troubleshooting using OTDR and power meters, and comprehensive asset management and logistics. Strong planning and organizational abilities will complement your technical proficiency.
