Senior Java Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Design and build backend services and APIs from the ground up - powering brand-new products from initial concept to production.
• Own technical decisions early in the product lifecycle, shaping architecture, data models, and service boundaries without legacy constraints.
• Develop scalable, high-performance systems using modern Java technologies, designed to evolve quickly as products gain traction.
• Work closely with product, design, and frontend teams to define and deliver features - contributing to what gets built, not just how.
• Move fast and ship often - iterating on real user feedback and continuously improving the product as it grows.
• Lay the foundation for long-term scalability and reliability, ensuring each product is ready to be handed over to core teams.
• Drive engineering excellence through clean design, pragmatic decisions, and high-quality code, even under fast-paced delivery cycles.
• Support and mentor teammates through hands-on collaboration, helping raise the bar while building impactful products together.

REQUIREMENTS 

• 5+ years of backend development experience with strong expertise in Java and object-oriented design. 
• Solid knowledge of design patterns, system architecture, and scalability principles. 
• Hands-on experience with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and message-driven systems (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ). 
• Familiar with containerization and orchestration (Kubernetes, Docker). 
• Comfortable with automated testing (unit, integration, performance). 
• Proven track record building and supporting production-grade, high-load systems. 
• Thrive in a dynamic, fast-changing environment with shifting priorities. 
• Strong communicator with a proactive, ownership-driven mindset. 
• At least Upper-Intermediate English level.
