Join Manulife’s Enterprise Technology & Services (ETS) Delivery team as a Senior IT Project Manager, where you will lead high‑impact technology initiatives that enable critical business capabilities across the organization. In this role, you’ll deliver complex enterprise infrastructure and services projects while partnering closely with business and technology leaders to support Manulife’s long‑term strategy, operational resilience, and customer outcomes.
Reporting to the Program Director, Network, Data Center, and End User Services, you’ll manage projects that are visible at senior leadership levels and play a key role in how technology supports Manulife’s evolving business needs.
Position Responsibilities:
Project Delivery & Execution
Lead end‑to‑end delivery of enterprise technology projects, from business case development through implementation and closure
Manage scope, schedule, budget, risks, and dependencies across complex, multi‑team initiatives
Deliver projects primarily using waterfall methodologies, incorporating Agile practices where appropriate
Ensure outcomes are aligned with business objectives and technology standards
Stakeholder & Team Leadership
Partner with technology teams, application owners, vendors, and business stakeholders to align goals and expectations
Act as a trusted liaison between project teams, sponsors, and client groups
Build alignment and consensus across cross‑functional teams without formal authority
Clearly define roles, responsibilities, and resource requirements
Risk, Governance & Financial Management
Identify, assess, and manage risks and issues; escalate appropriately to ensure transparency and timely resolution
Manage project budgets, forecasts, and financial reporting
Ensure projects adhere to Manulife’s global project governance frameworks, standards, and controls
Communication & Continuous Improvement
Provide clear, concise, and regular communication to project teams, sponsors, and senior leaders
Present complex technical and business information in a clear and actionable way
Identify opportunities to improve project delivery methods, tools, and processes
Support team success by coaching or mentoring less‑experienced project professionals when needed
Required Qualifications:
Several years of experience leading complex IT or technology projects in large or enterprise environments
Experience delivering enterprise infrastructure, platform, network, security, or shared services initiatives
Strong skills in stakeholder engagement, risk management, and transparent project delivery
Comfort managing budgets, forecasts, and cross‑team dependencies
Ability to navigate change and operate effectively in a cross‑functional, evolving environment
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting to senior leadership
Preferred Qualifications:
University degree or equivalent professional experience
PMP (Project Management Professional), Agile, or related project management certification
Experience working in regulated or large‑scale enterprise environments, such as financial services

Salary range is expected to be between
$113,000.00 CAD - $163,000.00 CADEmployees also have the opportunity to participate in incentive programs and earn incentive compensation tied to business and individual performance. The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
