The Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for 2nd level client support and services. This position works closely with other IT departments for incident and problem resolution, and service request fulfillment within agreed service level. The Infrastructure Engineer will have more in depth technical experience than the Field Service Engineer (FSE) and is likely to take the lead in more complex troubleshooting and provides backup to the supervisor. Tasks include:
Maintain applications on end user devices: install/uninstall, troubleshoot, data recovery and maintain applications, products and equipment.
Maintain the estate of end user devices: Identify, analyze and repair equipment failures. Order and replace parts/material as needed.
Maintain other equipment including printers, scanners, warehouse equipment such as RDTs, etc.
Be the local hands and eyes for network and server equipment based locally.
Determine, recommend and test which products or software best suit our customers’ needs.
Provides training guidance to end-users, ensuring delivery of high quality and proactive support.
Escalate incidents to next level support when the solution is unknown or cannot be solved within defined time frames.
Have experience in configuration and troubleshooting on Server, storage, network equipment, Provision VMs
Provide first and second level support for incidents and service requests to business colleagues. (40%)
Take part in Technology projects as required, either as the local IT colleague or as part of a wider global endeavor. (20%)
Leads problem resolution of more complex incidents and problems. (20%)
Maintains asset inventories, ensures stock of devices and peripherals is appropriate, orders new equipment etc. (10%)
Serves as the backup to the supervisor or manager (10%)
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
5 to 8 Years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor's Degree with Systems Engineering or Related field of study required.
Other Education / Certifications: MCSE, SCCM, ITIL Foundation, CCENT. Knowledge of common TD SYNNEX applications.
Able to execute instructions and to request clarification when needed.

Have basic knowledge in data centre design
Occasional non-standard work hours or overtime as business requires.
On-call availability required as necessary.
