  • This position starts at $92,400.00.  Final compensation will be determined based on experience.

The Senior IT Epic Implementation Project Manager leads end‑to‑end Epic software implementations for new and transitioning clients. This role is focused exclusively on Epic implementation delivery and owns the Epic workstream within broader client integrations. 

This role partners closely with Epic Services, Readiness, Technology, Operations, Partnership Success, and the Enterprise PMO (EPMO) to ensure Epic implementations are delivered with rigor and predictability. A core accountability is ensuring the Epic Standard Operating Model (SOM) is fully implemented and validated prior to transition to optimization and support. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Epic Implementation Delivery 

  • Lead Epic implementations from initiation through go‑live and stabilization

  • Own Epic workstream execution within broader client integration programs

  • Develop and manage detailed project plans covering Epic build, testing, conversion, training, cutover, and go‑live

SOM Implementation & Readiness 

  • Ensure Epic implementations align to Epic SOM standards

  • Own validation of SOM completeness as a formal exit criterion from implementation

  • Partner with Product and Operations to resolve gaps prior to transition to support

Cross‑Functional Coordination 

  • Coordinate across Epic Services, Technology, Readiness, Operations, and Product teams

  • Partner closely with Partnership Success to align client communication and expectations

Risk, Issue & Change Management 

  • Proactively manage risks, issues, dependencies, and scope changes

  • Maintain RAID logs and escalate issues as needed

Standards & Continuous Improvement 

  • Execute implementations using Epic PMO standards and methodologies

  • Contribute to playbooks, templates, and best‑practice improvements

 

Qualifications: 

Required:

 

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 7–10+ years of Epic implementation project management experience

  • Strong Epic revenue cycle implementation expertise

  • Proven ability to manage complex, cross‑functional delivery

Preferred:

  • Epic certification(s)

  • PMP or similar certification

  • Experience in enterprise integration environments
