Role Description

As a Senior IT Engineer, you will drive strategic project execution and operational excellence by architecting, integrating, and managing our field service platforms. You will provide expert technical leadership to stakeholders and oversee complex system deployments across platforms such as geospatial network management systems, network testing and monitoring solutions, fleet telematics, and various Workforce Management (WFM) tools. Ultimately, your work will ensure optimal system health and empower our business teams with robust, well-integrated technical solutions.

In this role, you'll:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and administration of enterprise applications supporting field operations.
  • Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, field service teams, development teams, and technical groups to gather requirements, architect scalable solutions, and drive major system enhancement projects from conception to successful deployment.
  • Act as the primary technical driver for cross-platform integration initiatives, ensuring seamless data flow, API connectivity, and communication between disparate field service and network management tools.
  • Provide senior-level support and technical mentorship, managing system upgrades, vendor relationships, and complex troubleshooting while actively documenting system architectures, creating FAQs, and developing materials for knowledge sharing.

At a minimum we'd like you to have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field; or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7 years of hands-on experience in IT systems engineering, with a strong focus on enterprise application management, integrations, and architecture.
  • 3 years of experience leading and driving complex IT projects from end-to-end within the telecommunications or field service sectors.
  • Experience configuring, administering, and integrating specific operational platforms such as geospatial tools (e.g., IQGeo), network testing/monitoring (e.g., VeEX), telematics (e.g., Geotab), or WFM systems.

It's preferred if you have:

  • Experience with Oracle Field Service.
  • Background in telecommunications, fiber optic networks, or related utility/infrastructure domains.
  • Hands-on experience with REST/SOAP APIs, system integration middleware, and scripting languages for automation.
  • Experience with Agile methodologies and IT project management frameworks.
  • Understanding of data mapping, complex vendor management, and the ability to explain highly technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

 

The US base salary range for this full-time position is between $136,000 - $198,000 + bonus + cash award + benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
