Your Team

Reporting in the Senior IT Audit Manager, the Senior IT Auditor will complete IT audit engagements within the regional audit plan, supplying to audit delivery through detailed IT-focused fieldwork, testing, and analysis. They will perform IT audit fieldwork on technology audits and advisory engagements, ensuring detailed execution and quality outcomes.

Work as an individual contributor within the Internal Audit team, taking ownership of specific areas and workstreams while supporting team objectives, build effective working relationships with IT process owners and technology internal partners during audit engagements.

What you`ll do

• Responsible for driving assigned IT workstreams and testing within audit engagements, including IT general controls assessments
• Delivering high-quality IT audit fieldwork, maintaining professional documentation that meets audit standards, and following approved methodology with appropriate scepticism
• Leading IT audit projects from planning to completion, following Global Internal Audit Standards (GIAS 2024)
• Conducting root cause analysis and consolidating IT findings into systematic issues
• Delivering information for IT audit planning, risk assessments, internal partner consultation, and offering perspectives on emerging technology risks and priorities
• Analysing IT data sets using Computer-Assisted Audit Techniques (CAATs)
• Identifying IT process improvements and control enhancements during audit fieldwork
• Applying IT risk management knowledge to support audit objectives
• Validating IT management actions address identified risks and supporting follow-up activities before closure
• Participating in high-risk reviews and leading issues with overdue actions
• Building effective working relationships with IT teams and partners while supporting advisory activities through fieldwork contributions
• Responsible for supplying to IT audit reports and supporting user documentation
• Supporting senior team members in the delivery of IT components within the audit plan
• Taking ownership of work quality and delivery of assigned IT audit components

How you`ll do it

• Strong analytical and technical IT auditing skills
• Good interpersonal skills (written and verbal) with ability to build effective working relationships and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical partners, supplying to significant IT audit reports
• Self-motivated, proactive and able to work independently on IT audit areas
• Ability to identify IT audit issues and technology risks, and supply to practical solutions
• Understanding of the regulatory environment in the gambling sector, particularly IT compliance requirements
• Ability to support technology change initiatives through effective IT audit work
• Capability to identify data analytics opportunities, analyse IT systems for significant insights, and communicate technical findings to both technical and non-technical partners
• Ability to mentor and guide junior team members on sophisticated IT audit techniques and technical concepts
• Understanding of emerging technology trends and their impact on audit risk and methodology
• Contribution to continuous improvement of IT audit methodology and documentation standards
• Strong project/time management skills with ability to balance multiple IT workstreams from initiation through final delivery, meeting deadlines and raising issues appropriately
• Capability to validate management actions and participate in follow-up processes

Qualifications & Experience

• Educated to degree level or equivalent
• 2-4 years IT audit experience
• IT Audit (CISA) or IT Security (CISM, CISSP) qualifications or progress towards these certifications preferred
• Solid understanding of internal controls and ITGC, including proper design and implementation
• Experience in evaluating overall control environment maturity and providing ratings
• Good knowledge of cloud architecture and security controls across multiple platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
• Understanding and awareness of COBIT, ISO 27001, PCI DSS and ITIL frameworks
• Awareness of emerging technology risks and ability to guide on mitigation
• Good understanding of audit principles and internal controls in IT environments
• Experience in the gambling sector or a similar highly regulated environment would be an advantage
