What can you expect in a Senior IT Applications Analyst role with TaskUs:
The Senior IT Applications Analyst serves as a strategic partner in defining and delivering business solutions that drive organizational success. This role leads high-impact initiatives, ensuring that business requirements are clearly defined, effectively communicated, and successfully implemented. The Senior IT Applications Analyst also mentors associate and mid level IT Applications Analyst, promotes best practices, and contributes to the continuous improvement of the BA function.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the end-to-end business analysis process - from discovery and requirements gathering to solution validation and deployment.
Collaborate with business leaders, product owners, and technical teams to align project goals with organizational priorities.
Facilitate workshops, interviews, and brainstorming sessions to identify business needs, define requirements, and document workflows.
Translate complex business requirements into clear functional specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
Create and review detailed documentation such as Business Requirements Documents (BRDs), Functional Specifications, and Process Flow Diagrams.
Ensure requirements traceability throughout the project lifecycle to maintain alignment from design to testing and deployment.
Assess the impact of proposed changes, identify risks, and recommend actionable mitigation strategies.
Provide analytical insights and data-driven recommendations to support decision-making and continuous improvement.
Collaborate closely with QA and development teams to ensure solutions meet business needs and quality standards.
Lead and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by defining test scenarios, validating outcomes, and ensuring readiness for deployment.
Mentor and coach associate and mid level IT Applications Analysts, providing guidance on best practices, documentation standards, and stakeholder management.
Contribute to process improvement initiatives by enhancing BA methodologies, templates, and tools across the team.
Represent the BA function in project governance, steering committee, and leadership discussions to ensure business alignment and value delivery.
Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field.
7+ years experience as a Business Analyst in the IT or software development industry.
Strong expertise in requirements management, business process modeling, and solution design.
In-depth understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) with experience in Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid methodologies.
Proven experience leading large or complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and teams.
Excellent stakeholder management, facilitation, and communication skills - able to engage with both business and technical audiences.
Proficient in Google Workspace or Microsoft Office (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Excel, PPT).
Skilled in JIRA for managing requirements, tasks, and sprint progress.
Skilled in using Lucidchart or Draw.io (or equivalent tools) to create detailed workflows, system diagrams, and business processes maps.
Strong stakeholder management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and ability to manage competing priorities in fast-paced environments.

Bachelor's/College Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology, or equivalent.
