We are seeking a Senior Interior Designer to lead corporate workspace projects from concept through completion in our Seattle studio. You’ll set project direction, mentor designers, partner closely with clients and consultants, and ensure outcomes that embody design excellence, technical rigor, and budget discipline.
Lead the development of innovative, high-quality design concepts aligned with client objectives, brand identity, and budget; inspire teams to deliver spaces that exceed expectations.
Oversee all phases of the project lifecycle, including planning, budgeting, design execution, documentation, tendering, and construction administration, ensuring compliance with codes and technical standards.
Manage multiple projects and teams of intermediate and junior designers; delegate tasks effectively and mentor staff for growth and development.
Prepare and administer construction documents, including plans, elevations, details, specifications, and furniture layouts; coordinate permit and tender applications.
Meet with clients to analyze goals and resources; maintain strong relationships through proactive communication and issue resolution.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, consultants, and vendors to ensure technical and design alignment.
Monitor project fees and client budgets; assess material needs, coordinate bids, and support subcontracting for fabrication and installation.
Represent the firm at industry events and contribute to marketing efforts through presentations, publications, and award submissions.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related discipline (required).
NCIDQ certification (required).
If registered as an Architect, NCARB registration preferred.
8+ years of prior experience in a design, architecture, engineering, or planning firm, focused on corporate offices and exposure to airports, hospitals, sports venues, schools, labs, and other commercial ventures.
Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, and Microsoft Office; familiarity with 3ds Max and other 3D visualization tools preferred.
Technically savvy; able to learn and master new programs and apps.
Excellent time management and organizational skills; strong oral and written communication; positive attitude, passion, and patience.
This position will not offer sponsorship now or in the future.
This position requires U.S. citizenship due to federal contract/security requirements.
Compensation is based on experience, qualifications, education, and location.
Reasonably expected salary range: $100,000–$130,000 USD
Other compensation may include a discretionary bonus.
