About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Institutional Investment Operations Representative. Team Member will be part of the Client Account Maintenance (CAM), team is responsible Client Account / SSI Onboarding and Maintenance, offboarding and other Client Data related activities. CAM is a centralized support team to assist the Front Office, Sales and Trading desks across multiple location (US, London, Asia). Primarily focused on Client Onboarding and SSI setups and Maintenance of client data across all the Securities trading systems, also supports regulatory related activities. You will also drive initiatives and provide solutions that will have an impact on client experience and risk mitigation.
In this role, you will:
Perform a variety of operational tasks for complex institutional trades or process extensive knowledge of systems
Provide ideas for improving or implementing processes
Perform moderately complex duties such as processing, researching inquires, and reconciling transactions
Review time sensitive documents
Provide training or work direction to less experienced staff
Support audit requirements within the process
Address compliance and corporate governance issues for the department
Lead or participate in projects
Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Interact with internal and external customers as per prescribed process or procedure
Identify and drive process re-engineering or transformation opportunities within the process
Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
4+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
Act as a Catalyst for Client Account Maintenance (CAM) Process.
Coordinate day-to-day activities for Client Onboarding, SSI setup for Securities clients and complete securities SSI setup and Maintenance requests within TAT.
Manage and complete workflow requests submitted by Sales, Settlements and Facilitation team within agreed SLA.
Proficient on all regulatory, legal, and operational rules/policies impacting client data.
Transaction level inquiries and issues supporting the CAM team and manage BAU and identify process enhancement opportunities
Request management and delegation to downstream partners
Support our focus on building strong customer relationships balanced with a strong risk mitigating and compliance-driven culture
Work with other Client Data teams to effectively manage and process client data requests when needed.
Develop strong working relationships with Sales, Settlements and Facilitation team and other stakeholder teams
Ensure and Adhere to the Regulatory Reporting standards, policies and procedures
Become a risk manager by ensuring data integrity and challenging where required
Engage in opportunities to review processes, analyze information, make decisions and recommendations and implement and monitor procedures
Provide reporting to senior leadership and produce insightful analyses of the business upon request for management
Job Expectations:
4+ Years of experience in Investment Banking
Shift Timings: 7:30 PM to 4:30 AM.
Strong Knowledge of the Static Data Process and experience in client Onboarding, SSI Setups for different Product line and preferably Fixed Income and Equities Products.
Extensive knowledge and understanding of all capital markets products, industry trends, regulatory changes, and industry-wide best practices with in Static Data processes.
Knowledge of DTCC Alert, FXALL, Mysis third party vendors.
Ability to independently research and analyze static data requirements and other static data requirements.
Ability to understand and work with data, including creating alignment among various data sources, developing trends, and creating risk-based analytics from multiple information sources.
Extensive knowledge and experience supporting Securities Product.
Strong Analytic ability, with high attention to detail, accuracy and strong problem-solving skills
Ability to communicate (written/verbal) effectively at all organizational levels
Ability to plan and organize workload within tight deadlines, meeting day-to-day objectives as well as longer term strategic goals
Perform analysis of, and make recommendations on functionality/efficiency of established controls and processes to ensure appropriate risk based operational procedures are in place and are meeting regulatory requirements/expectations
Well versed with MS Office applications (particular Excel and Power Point)
