FNZ

Senior Infastructure Engineer

Kuala Lumpur - Malaysia Full time

We are seeking a Senior Infrastructure Engineer to deliver high‑quality and timely support across FNZ’s IT infrastructure, ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of our platforms and corporate systems. In this role, you will work across a broad technology landscape, including Windows Servers, Storage Area Network hardware, VMware ESX and NSX environments, Active Directory domains, enterprise storage, backup platforms, antivirus and security tools, as well as key internal applications such as Finance and HR systems. You will be responsible for managing incidents and service requests in line with SLAs, supporting business and technology initiatives, contributing to system implementation recommendations, and operating with a high level of autonomy and technical judgment.

Beyond day‑to‑day operational responsibilities, you will also play a key role in infrastructure initiatives, continuous process improvement, and automation efforts. The role requires participation in an on‑call rotation for after‑hours support, ensuring robust documentation and the mitigation of resource risks, and contributing to Incident, Problem, and Change Management activities. You will manage escalations, support both internal and external audits, and ensure full adherence to corporate policies, safety and soundness standards, and regulatory requirements. This is a great opportunity for an Engineer looking to deepen their technical expertise while contributing to a high‑performing global technology environment.

The responsibilities will include:

  • Manage and support all development, UAT, pre‑production, production, and internal corporate IT environments to ensure application availability, performance, security, and reliability.
  • Deliver high‑quality operational support, including incident and problem resolution, change implementation, system monitoring, and scheduled maintenance.
  • Support infrastructure projects by implementing new systems and technologies on time and to required standards.
  • Ensure platform security and compliance by following FNZ policies, supporting audit requirements, completing risk assessments, and maintaining secure system configurations.
  • Maintain strong business continuity and resilience through regular backups, testing, and participation in BCP and disaster recovery exercises.
  • Coordinate with third‑party vendors where required and ensure clear documentation of processes, builds, and infrastructure standards.

What are we ideally looking for in a successful candidate:

  • Degree qualification or equivalent industry experience, with at least 5 years in infrastructure operations.
  • Strong technical knowledge across on‑prem and cloud infrastructure, including Microsoft Server products, Windows, SQL, FTP, RabbitMQ, Pure Storage, and Commvault.
  • Experience with monitoring tools such as Splunk or Nagios, and familiarity with data centre racking, cabling, and connectivity.
  • Hands‑on experience successfully delivering infrastructure projects, with a strong interest in modern server and storage technologies.
  • Desirable exposure to F5 technologies (LTM/APM/ASM/GTM) and proficiency in PowerShell scripting.
  • Solid understanding of risk management, information security practices, and ideally some knowledge of financial products and markets.
  • Strong problem‑solving skills, able to work both independently and collaboratively, and confident engaging with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Excellent time management, communication skills, and the ability to remain effective in a high‑paced, rapidly changing environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with stakeholders across multiple regions, including Australia and global teams.

What is in it for you?

  • Be part of a highly successful, rapidly growing global business that is leading the delivery of financial services and partners with some of the world’s largest companies.
  • Remuneration and career advancement is based on individual contribution and business impact rather than tenure or seniority.
  • We provide significant financial rewards for high performing individuals.
  • Global career opportunities for our best employees at any of our offices in the UK, Canada, Czech Republic, Australia, New Zealand, or China.

If this role appeals to you, please apply with your cover letter and CV by 25 January 2026.
