About the Role
We’re seeking a Senior IDS Platforms Analyst & Coordinator with a systems analyst mindset, who thrives in a collaborative, purpose-driven environment and is passionate about continuous improvement.
This is more than a technical role—it’s an opportunity to shape how our financial systems operate, evolve, and support the University’s mission to make a difference through education and research. You’ll coordinate the planning, enhancement, and operation of our financial systems, ensuring they’re robust, compliant, and future-ready. You’ll work closely with the Finance team to drive innovation and improve workflows across the University.
This is achieved by
Coordinating the technical change, configuration and release management process for the relevant platforms and applications in alignment with IDS frameworks, principles and standards.
Conducting requirements analysis activities, interpreting business requirements and translating into technical requirements.
Supporting the relevant stakeholders in developing and implementing the vision and associated roadmap for the platform and applications.
Supporting both formal and informal market scanning and benchmarking activities to be aware of emerging market offerings and trends
Identifying, managing and mitigating risks related to the activities being undertaken by the role in line with IDS and Flinders University policies and procedures.

About You
You’re a confident communicator and strategic thinker, with high level thinking, planning and analytical skills to support outcomes and meet the University's strategic goals, and a passion for improving processes. You have significant experience in supporting and maintaining Commercial-Off-The-Shelf (COTS) applications, along with a broad knowledge of the principles and practices of the software development lifecycle.
To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate:
Well-developed interpersonal influence and demonstrated ability to negotiate and communicate effectively with staff and customers across a diverse organisation particularly during the design, management and implementation of customer solutions.
General experience in agile ways of working including exposure to scaled agile methodologies.
Broad knowledge of the principles and practices of the software development lifecycle.
Higher education experience is advantageous.
The ideal candidate will have an appropriate tertiary qualification in Information Technology or relevant technical area, and / or equivalent relevant experience in an IT environment.

IDS are a pivotal resource of the University, providing information and digital technology services and support to the Flinders University staff and student community. The IDS team apply technical expertise to support university projects and provide core services such as the IDS Service Desk, Audio visual, simulation and event services, Information security and identity access management services and more.
