What you will do:
Provides drafting and design support for engineering departments by assuming full drafting and/or some design responsibility for assigned projects. May have responsibility for CAD deliverables to the customer, layout/packaging coordination, release coordination (using EPIC), and CAD studies
How you will do it:
Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and equipment specifications.
Perform HVAC load calculations, hydraulic calculations, pump head calculations, pipe sizing, and chilled water/condensate water system design.
Prepare technical proposals, bill of materials (BOM), equipment selections, and tender documentation.
Ensure all HVAC designs comply with ASHRAE standards, local building codes, and corporate engineering guidelines.
Coordinate with internal teams (sales, project management, solutions engineering) to support pre‑sales and project execution.
Review and validate engineering designs from consultants, contractors, and partners.
Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
Conduct site assessments, attend technical meetings, and support design reviews.
Support troubleshooting and commissioning activities related to HVAC and hydronic systems.
Meeting with clients and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.
Review and understand mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.
What we look for:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Minimum 5 years experience in HVAC system design, including chilled water systems or condenser system design.
Strong understanding of HVAC system fundamentals, equipment selection, and controls integration.
Hands‑on proficiency in HVAC design software (Revit, AutoCAD).
Familiarity with performing hydraulic calculations and using tools/spreadsheets for pump head computation.
Knowledge of relevant standards (ASHRAE, ISO, local mechanical codes).
Experience delivering medium to large‑scale commercial or industrial projects.
Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills.
Professional certification (SCEM, LEED AP) is an advantage.
