What you will do:

Provides drafting and design support for engineering departments by assuming full drafting and/or some design responsibility for assigned projects. May have responsibility for CAD deliverables to the customer, layout/packaging coordination, release coordination (using EPIC), and CAD studies

How you will do it:

  • Develop and review detailed engineering drawings, schematics, and equipment specifications.

  • Perform HVAC load calculations, hydraulic calculations, pump head calculations, pipe sizing, and chilled water/condensate water system design.

  • Prepare technical proposals, bill of materials (BOM), equipment selections, and tender documentation.

  • Ensure all HVAC designs comply with ASHRAE standards, local building codes, and corporate engineering guidelines.

  • Coordinate with internal teams (sales, project management, solutions engineering) to support pre‑sales and project execution.

  • Review and validate engineering designs from consultants, contractors, and partners.

  • Provide technical mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.

  • Conduct site assessments, attend technical meetings, and support design reviews.

  • Support troubleshooting and commissioning activities related to HVAC and hydronic systems.

  • Meeting with clients and design teams to determine mechanical applications and requirements.

  • Review and understand mechanical designs using CAD, CAM, and 3D CAD programs.

What we look for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.

  • Minimum 5 years experience in HVAC system design, including chilled water systems or condenser system design.

  • Strong understanding of HVAC system fundamentals, equipment selection, and controls integration.

  • Hands‑on proficiency in HVAC design software (Revit, AutoCAD).

  • Familiarity with performing hydraulic calculations and using tools/spreadsheets for pump head computation.

  • Knowledge of relevant standards (ASHRAE, ISO, local mechanical codes).

  • Experience delivering medium to large‑scale commercial or industrial projects.

  • Strong documentation, communication, and coordination skills.

  • Professional certification (SCEM, LEED AP) is an advantage.
