Millennium Space Systems, a division of Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), is looking for a Senior Human Resources Generalist (HRG) specializing in HR Strategy, Workforce Planning, and Transformation (S&I) to join their team in El Segundo, CA. This position will act as a strategic partner to the Vice President of Human Resources and will be instrumental in advancing the HR strategy to support the company’s growth and mission. The role integrates strategic planning, enterprise program management, and workforce analytics to lead impactful HR initiatives throughout the organization.
 

Operating in a dynamic aerospace and defense environment, this position leads cross-functional HR initiatives, oversees the execution of the HR strategy, and develops workforce planning insights that enable the company to scale its highly technical workforce. The role acts as a central integrator across HR functions and helps ensure alignment between HR strategy, business priorities, and operational execution.

The ideal candidate will have a strong collaborative ability to look across organizational boundaries to deliver an integrated final product; a strategic mindset to drive actions proactively and execute on business needs and excellent verbal, written and presentation skills.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the VP, Human Resources to develop and execute the enterprise HR strategy aligned with company growth and operational priorities

  • Coordinate the HR strategic planning process and monitor progress against key initiatives

  • Provide strategic analysis and insights to support executive workforce decisions

  • Lead enterprise workforce planning aligned with engineering capacity, program growth, and long-term business objectives

  • Analyze workforce metrics including attrition, hiring velocity, and capability gaps to inform talent strategy

  • Partner with Enterprise Applications to develop dashboards and reporting to support data-driven decision making

  • Lead the governance and execution of enterprise HR initiatives through an HR program management framework

  • Manage a portfolio of HR programs including process improvements, and organizational initiatives

  • Ensure initiatives are aligned, well-governed, and delivered effectively across HR functions

  • Provide daily executive support to the VP, Human Resources to align, connect, and coordinate business activities

  • Provide recommendations to VP, Human Resources for operational and strategic decisions in the organization

  • Facilitate and plan agendas for HR staff meetings, integration meetings and other key meetings that support the HR team and MSS business

  • Coordinate with BDS HR and functional HR teams on deliverables

  • Communicate with HR peers and leaders on HR actions

  • Drive rigor into operating rhythm, assess effectiveness of operating rhythm and provide recommendations as needed

  • Coordinate initiatives across HR teams including Talent Acquisition, HR Operations, and Organizational Development

  • Partner with Manufacturing, Engineering, Finance, IT, and other functions to ensure workforce strategy aligns with operational and program requirements

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience working with employees as a Human Resources Generalist (HRG) or Human Resources Business Partner (HRBP)

  • 5+ years of experience creating and developing strategy plans and/or executing strategies and managing projects

  • 5+ years of experience partnering and strategizing HR initiatives with senior leaders

  • 5+ years of experience in a role utilizing business acumen and linking relevant HR strategies to business outcomes

  • 1+ years of experience interfacing with and presenting to senior and/or executive leadership

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related discipline

  • 5+ years of experience in influencing and building strong relationships with stakeholders and senior leaders across functions

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, engineering, or other technical industries

  • Experience with workforce planning, HR analytics, or HR transformation initiatives

Pay is based upon candidate experience and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.

Summary pay range: $161,500 - $218,500
