Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior HSE Specialist - Saudi National to join our team! In this role, you will support project and program leadership by ensuring full compliance with Parsons’ Environmental, Safety, Health, and Risk Program (ESHARP), corporate standards, and all applicable regulatory and client SH&E requirements across project worksites.
Advise and support Project and Program Managers in implementing site-specific SH&E plans in alignment with Parsons’ ESHARP management system, policies, and procedures.
Conduct audits of projects and worksites against Parsons’ corporate SH&E standards and regulatory requirements.
Perform routine and ad hoc site inspections to identify hazards and provide technical expertise to eliminate or control SH&E risks.
Prepare and submit detailed audit, inspection, incident investigation, and lessons-learned reports.
Implement and manage occupational injury and incident reporting processes in accordance with Parsons and regulatory requirements.
Lead incident investigations and root cause analyses using defensible and industry-recognized methodologies.
Collaborate with project leadership, craft workers, and site personnel to define and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
Perform trend analysis on audits, inspections, and incident data, and provide regular analytical and performance reports.
Represent Parsons during external regulatory inspections and loss control audits.
Act as the SH&E Manager or Director’s representative on assigned project or program worksites.
Support risk assessments for upcoming activities and integrate SH&E considerations into work planning processes.
Assist with new hire SH&E orientation and onboarding activities.
Deliver regulatory, corporate, and best-practice SH&E training and maintain accurate training records.
Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Perform other SH&E-related duties as required to support project and organizational objectives.
What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:
Professional safety certifications such as ASP, GSP, OHST, or CHST.
Strong experience representing organizations during regulatory inspections and client audits.
Proven ability to lead SH&E initiatives, influence safe behaviors, and drive continuous improvement at site level.
Experience supporting large infrastructure, construction, or program-based environments.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret trends and convert data into actionable safety.
Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience).
15+ years of progressive experience in Health, Safety, and Environmental roles, preferably on large or complex projects.
Advanced knowledge of federal and state occupational health and safety regulations and reporting requirements.
Advanced knowledge of safety-related national consensus standards (e.g., ANSI, NFPA).
Strong experience conducting audits, inspections, incident investigations, and root cause analyses.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills with the ability to influence at all organizational levels.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while supporting multiple stakeholders in matrix environments.
