About The Role
Aberdeen’s HR Systems Squad sits within the Corporate Technology Office; this is responsible for managing Aberdeen's core HR systems with Workday being its Strategic tool of choice. Aberdeen is live with Workday Core HCM, Recruitment, Payroll, Extend, Talent and Help. We have an exciting roadmap ahead of us to further enhance our systems architecture over the next 3 years and embed and enhance ways or working.
The Senior HRIS Analyst is an expert role within the HR Systems Team and is responsible for configuring, developing and maintaining Aberdeen's Workday infrastructure. This role will involve working closely with stakeholders across the HR function, in addition to Technology and other functional areas that are dependent on HR data. We are specifically seeking a candidate with strong practical expertise in time tracking and absence modules.
Key Responsibilities:
Support the Product Owner to deliver a Backlog view of all priorities
Proven experience of leading the systems aspects of core projects involving scoping, design, delivery and maintenance of Workday changes and configuration.
Providing subject matter expertise on Workday, particularly HCM, time tracking and absence
Proactively suggest and lead systems improvements, using business requirements to inform technical design, to process configuration, security set up and testing.
Keep up to date on new functionalities and proactively identify enhancements to current ways of working
Ensure presence within Workday ecosystem, connecting with other customers
Share knowledge of best practice, systems enhancements and reporting with HR
Systems colleagues and wider HR team
Manage complex employee and manager requests via tiered HR support model (using Workday Help)
Ensure adherence to HR and IT systems and change governance
About The Candidate
Substantial experience of working within the Workday ecosystem, with significant exposure to configuring and developing core Workday modules.
Strong continuous improvement focus, with high attention to detail, the ability to work independently and across a wide range of stakeholders, and a commitment to deliver great service.
Proven experience in configuring, maintaining and enhancing Workday processes across time tracking and absence modules
Completion of Workday training backed up with extensive practical application, ideally covering Workday core HCM, Time Tracking and Absence
Experience in additional Workday modules desirable.
Expertise in Extend, integrations and reporting would be advantageous
Able to communicate effectively to non-technical stakeholders to establish requirements and identify optimal solutions.
