The role

The Senior HR Manager will serve as a hands-on leader and strategic business partner to drive organizational results for the EMEA region. The Senior HR Manager is primarily responsible for working with the organization to identify, develop, and deploy talent strategies to drive regional, team, and functional strategies for growth. Talent and culture are the biggest priorities for this role, as the successful Senior HR Manager helps business leaders leverage talent for growth, increasing business results, and overall organizational and team effectiveness and productivity. The Senior HR Manager resolves employee relations issues through a diplomatic and systematic approach and assists senior management in developing solutions through organizational development, focusing on cultural and process perspectives. This position develops and drives company-wide programs and initiatives, such as performance management, compensation and workforce planning, as well as organizational change. The successful Senior HR Manager can envision the talent enablers of high performance and anticipate the gaps in skills and capabilities, and create the plan to close these gaps. The Senior HR Manager is a trusted advisor for the leadership team and core member of the EMEA leadership team.

Reporting to a VP of Global Human Resources, with matrixed reporting to the SVP Global Sales / GM EMEA, the successful individual must be able to communicate at the executive level, collaborate across boundaries and geographies and work with colleagues across the business and the global HR team. This role will regularly need to align and collaborate with global organizations, the regional HR teams and other internal HR Centers of Expertise, particularly with talent management

You'll have the opportunity to...

  • Ensure the effective and strategic execution of all day-to-day HR functions for the region, managing and controlling departmental HR expenditure within agreed budgets, and maintaining appropriate systems for measuring effectiveness of the HR function, including;
    • Talent Acquisition
    • Learning and Development
    • Performance Management
    • HR Operations, including compensation, benefits, insurance, leave management, pensions, and monthly payroll in 5 different EMEA countries via external payroll provider
    • Policy and Compliance
    • Contracts and Vendor Management
    • HR Reporting and Data Analysis
  • Ensure effective and strategic Employee Development and Engagement including:
    • recruitment and selection policies and practices
    • Discipline and counselling
    • training and development
    • morale and motivation
    • culture and attitudinal development
    • Individual coaching and management support
  • Monitor, measure and report on HR issues to VP of Global HR including; opportunities, development plans and achievements, proposed solutions within agreed formats and timescales
  • Perform as senior business partner to regional leadership, providing expert advice, guidance and coaching to the management in all aspects of HR
  • Ensure activities meet with and integrate with organisational requirements for quality management, health and safety, as well as regulatory and legal stipulations
  • Collaborate with Director of Finance on maintenance of comprehensive and compliance benefits, including pensions, as needed
  • Maintain current understanding of legal requirements and international compliancy standards providing suggestions for changes if required

Who you are and what you bring to the team...

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English fluency, Dutch competency)
  • Project Management and keen organizational skills.
  • Experience in a growing, fast-paced, high performing company, working within both large and small companies.
  • Experience in building and designing scalable HR processes
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop a high degree of personal credibility at all levels of the organization.

Ideally, you have...

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years’ experience as an HR generalist, with minimum of 2 years HR leadership, in a fast-paced international environment.
  • Exceptional Interpersonal and Communication skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of Dutch labour laws and regulations; desirable knowledge of UK and German labour laws.
  • Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving abilities: Ability to analyze and solve complex organizational and employee-level problems.
  • Experience with Expats and recruiting in the EU
  • Knowledge of salary bench market tools (Radford)
