Job Description:
Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Horticultural Specialist to join our team! In this role you will get to design and manage development of design and installatio of landscape and planting.
What You'll Be Doing:
Management of plant species, shrubs, ground covers and grasses.
Managing the health and quality of soil and how to improve them for best growth of trees and plants.
Conducting regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure landscape design specifications and provide solutions as per site conditions.
Supervise the contractor for procurement, installation and maintenance of the required landscape plants, structures and materials.
Supervision and management of all horticulture related projects on site and off site.
Identification, installation and cultivation of planting in accordance with the design and specification.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, ensure landscape design specifications and provide solutions as per site conditions.
What Required Skills You'll Bring:
Bachelor's Degree in Agriculture or Horticulture.
Minimum 8 years experience in horticulture, landscape design and managing planting and maintenance.
Knowledge and experience in plant selection based on soil and climatic conditions.
Knowledge in potential pest and diseases and prevention and treatment.
Experience in horticultural design and supervision of planting and maintenance.
Experience in protection of existing trees and shrubs and relocation.
