What you’ll achieve

As a Senior Healthcare IT Project Manager, you will lead complex healthcare technology implementations across major health systems, working closely with clinical leaders, health service executives, and multidisciplinary technical teams to deliver solutions that improve care outcomes.

The role requires strong leadership, critical thinking, and experience in Healthcare IT environments — including the ability to navigate complexity, challenge assumptions, and drive clarity across clinical, technical, product, and commercial domains.

You will:

  • Lead and manage complex Healthcare IT implementation projects and programs across all phases of delivery, including planning, initiation, analysis, development, configuration, integration, testing, training, deployment, go-live and project closure.
  • Conduct Implementation Planning Studies (IPS) with customers to define detailed scope, delivery approach and implementation strategy.
  • Establish and manage the end-to-end delivery plan, including baseline schedules aligned to the Dedalus Work Breakdown Structure (WBS).
  • Own overall project financial performance, including tracking actuals against budget and managing professional services utilisation.
  • Manage project scope, risks, issues and change control, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and customer expectations.
  • Facilitate structured workshops and decision forums across clinical, operational and technical stakeholders.
  • Ensure robust program governance and reporting, including internal and external project status reporting.
  • Coordinate integration activities, data migration strategies and deployment readiness across delivery workstreams.

Essential requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Health Informatics or related discipline
  • Minimum 5 years project or program delivery experience
  • Demonstrated success delivering large-scale enterprise software implementations
  • Experience leading complex healthcare IT or digital transformation programs
  • Strong experience working with clinical and operational healthcare stakeholders
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary delivery teams
  • Experience managing large program schedules, dependencies and governance structures
  • Ability to operate effectively in complex and ambiguous delivery environments

Desirable Requirements

  • PRINCE2, PMBOK, MSP or equivalent project management certification
  • Experience delivering programs using structured or hybrid delivery models
  • Advanced experience using delivery and planning tools such as MS Project, Excel, Jira, Confluence or similar
