The People and Culture (P&C) team is responsible for managing the entire employee lifecycle from recruitment through retirement, collaborating closely with various departments such as New Site Development, Construction, Operations, Sales, Finance, Tech & Systems, and Legal to ensure a cohesive and supportive work environment. Our P&C team is distinguished by its proactive and strategic approach. Unlike in many organizations where P&C functions are limited to administrative oversight, our P&C professionals are empowered with the authority and responsibility to drive critical processes directly. This includes talent acquisition, employee development, performance management, and organizational planning. By leveraging in-house expertise, our P&C team can align long-term organizational sustainability with innovative P&C practices and cost-effective strategies. Position Overview
This role can be based in any of our US locations: Denver, CO; Phoenix, AZ; Quincy, WA; Santa Clara, CA; or Ashburn, VA or remotely in the US.
Vantage is seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Health & Safety Training Specialist to design, implement, and lead a comprehensive global Health & Safety (H&S) learning program from the ground up. This role is ideal for a senior professional who can blend strategic vision with hands-on execution: curating and developing content, managing programs, and facilitating training as needed. Reporting to the Director of Learning Design & Operations, this position will play a pivotal role in ensuring our employees are empowered, informed, and compliant with all safety and health standards across our global organization.
Essential Job Functions
Key Responsibility #1: Program Design & Strategy
Develop and execute a long-term Health & Safety training strategy aligned with organizational goals and global regulatory requirements.
Build the EH&S training program from inception, including needs assessment, framework design, curriculum development, implementation strategy, and evaluation metrics.
Identifies and partners with third-party content providers to supplement internally developed content
Partner with EH&S, Operations, and People & Culture to integrate safety learning into broader talent and development initiatives.
Maintains project documentation, assets, auditing criteria, compliance regulations, and intellectual property guidelines for internal and third-party resources.
Key Responsibility #2: Program Management
Oversee the end-to-end delivery of EH&S training programs across all business units, regions, and levels of the organization.
Develops & delivers ongoing train-the-trainer for onsite individuals, conducting health and safety training.
Establish governance, tracking, and reporting processes for compliance and continuous improvement.
Evaluate program effectiveness through data analytics, feedback, and audit results, and implement enhancements accordingly.
Key Responsibility #3: Content Development & Facilitation
Design, develop, and maintain engaging training content—eLearning modules, instructor-led workshops, videos, and microlearning resources.
Ensure content meets global and local compliance standards and reflects best practices in adult learning and behavior-based safety.
Facilitate high-impact sessions for leaders, managers, and employees as needed, fostering a culture of accountability and safety ownership.
Key Responsibility #4: Collaboration & Leadership
Act as a key liaison between Learning & Development and Environmental Health & Safety teams.
Mentor and guide internal trainers, safety champions, and facilitators to ensure consistent and high-quality program delivery
Stay informed on emerging regulations, technologies, and learning methodologies related to health and safety.

Job Requirements
Here’s what we’re looking for:
7-10 years of health and safety experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or strategic program management capacity. Or, 7-10 years of L&D training experience with at least 3 years in a senior or strategic program management capacity.
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental, Learning and Development, or a closely related discipline.
Proven experience building a comprehensive safety training program from the ground up, in compliance with regulatory requirements
Strong instructional design background with demonstrated ability to create impactful learning experiences.
Excellent leadership, project management, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple programs simultaneously.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, global environment.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Flexibility to occasionally work outside of regular business hours to accommodate global program delivery.
Experience in a multinational corporate environment is preferred.
Travel required is expected to be up to 20% but may increase over time as the business evolves

Additional Details
Salary Range: $130,000 - $140,000 Base + Bonus (this range is based on Colorado market data and may vary in other locations)
